And I don't get what's so exactly good about KH. It has Disney characthers, which most likely kills the game from my view.

But one of my favourite actors voiced on this game, David Boreanaz (any BTVS/Angel fans around here? Guess not, since most people here like tons of cartoons and other stuff). HE voiced Leon, I think.

Maybe I should try KH-I. But it's way too childish for me to play a game with Disney characthers. The only cool thing Disney might have is their amusement parks.

Well, I figured when KH came out, it'd suck. But...Well, Square-Enix (then Squaresoft) knows how to make things good. I just kinda ignore a lot of the Disney part, and focus on Sora's story..

Square-Enix is Square-Enix. But I can't ignore stuff, so that's kinda why I wouldn't play KH-I.

The Disney characters only enhance the game's story. They're not the "Disney Characters" we know...just sort of...parallels of them. The magical world of Disney is not so happy in this game. Darkness is enfolding it, and only one person can really stop it. That's why the game works. It's not "happy go lucky, lovey fun". It's a rather dark storyline.

One should never judge a book by it's cover...nor a game by it's characters at that. It's not "way too childish" for you to play, if others here (particularly the ones with BKO access) are playing it...because then what does that say about us?

A friend of mine got it on the first day (as well as the strategy guide). He even got to stay home from school for two days just to play it...he beat it in those two days.

After that, I got a play for a while to level him up for post game........Ill just say this......its the best f***ing game in the world (and yes, I have played the first one...the second is t3h pWnZoRz).

I'm not quite sure if it's the best game in the world but it's pretty close. That title likely belongs to Devil May Cry or some title like that. And yes, it's dark. Take my word for it, it's dark. Much darker than anything Disney. Think..."The Key" darkness (without the hopeful ending)...and then multiply that about 5 times. Trust me, it's a really dark storyline. You'd see if you'd just play the game. Otherwise, you really can't say for sure: Don't knock it until you try it, as the proverb goes. ^_^

Mew is right. Because of the Disney element, this game gets attacked far too often. PLAY IT, people. This game deserves a LOT of praise for its harmony in character casting, and its awesome story.

By the way, if you're lamenting about not having the whole story and waiting on KH2... you get flashbacks fairly often in the "tutorial", which is the first 3 or 4 hours of gameplay.

Anyway! Does anyone know where Neo can find himself a copy of the theme song? (It IS called "Passion", isn't it? Or did it change for the English release? Something like that...?)

Passion is the Japanese one. Sanctuary is the English title. You can find both versions of the songs at a fan MySpace of Utada Hikaru.

If anyone needs help on it I wold be glad to help I have already beaten KHI and KHII. And it is not childish it is only childish to the people who cant get past the fact that it has disney in it. I will have to say the first was better, the story on the 2nd wasnt the best but the game play and battles were awesome.

Kingdom Hearts is really awesome... My brother just beat KH2 this morning. I'm still working on it...

Ergh, I hate that people say that Kingdom Hearts is a 'childish' game just because it has some Disney characters in it. It doesn't mean it's for kids 10 and under. Although I think they could have left out Winnie the Pooh... Kingdom Hearts has a very complex plotline with characters from various Final Fantasy games.

As to having a dark plotline, I totally agree with Mewberries. The whole game is basically about overcoming darkness and finding the light.

KH3 involving Mickey Mouse and Dumbo? They way x1 mentioned Chicken Little on KH2 makes me think about it.

Dumbo and Mickey were in the first game to begin with, so it's not really anything new to have them featured. Dumbo was a summon in KHI and Mickey was "mentioned" and then shown I believe in "Chain of Memories".

Just give "Kingdom Hearts" a chance. Pre-judging it like that, without having played it at all, may let you miss out on something that would actually turn out to be great fun. Like I said before...you can't knock it until you try it.

On the subject of "Chicken Little" though...that movie could have worked but they just made too many plot errors and they focused too much on mind-blowing CGI animation as opposed to telling a good story (always a huge mistake). I think the whole "alien invasion" thing was where it seriously began to go South (if you'll pardon the expression). ^^ It should have been kept more simplistic...the idea of Chicken Little trying to redeem himself wasn't so bad a theme...but an Alien Invasion kind of negated that. Plus...I think Chicken Little's voice should have been a bit more...wholesome or "little kid-ish". ^^;

...Which in my opinion...sucks....I've seen it...and it's so as my friend puts it...elementary. It's your basic english book, left to right. Very simple and childish drawings.....I never played KH-1...I've played Chain of Memories though.....But my friend just made me NOT want to buy KH-2 anymore...*stabs friend...*

I got KH2 a week ago. And I love it! Some of the world plots are a bit too close to the movie plots I think (there was one world in particular so far where I felt I was doing nothing more than playing through the movie with Sora, Donald, and Goofy stuck into it..), but other than that I am really enjoying it!

Kingdom Hearts is the bomb i beat it the day after it came out becasue i

had Oss ( out of school suspention). Its battles have inproved with forms

and summons my favs are stitch and genie. my fav form is final ofcourse.

the bad thing is worlds arent as big as the first one, the story isnt as good

but the cutscenes are great.

And if KH CoM was a prequel it would be the prequel to the sequel

Because Chain of Memories (CoM) is the connection to 1 and 2 it is like

Kingdom Hearts 1 1/2.

Micky was shown after you beat Ansem for the last time. He helps lock the keyhole in "End of the World" and I am getting this game for my birthday (10 days and counting!!) along with the Strategy guide.....I am gonna love wielding two keyblades

Not to disappoint you but you dont always hold 2 keyblades you might already know that but i will explain anyway.

There is a new gauge called Drive Gauge it starts out with 3 bars max but improves.

You can use drives even if you are not fighting unlike Limits but it is useless and a big waste.

You dont start out with this skill either you get it aboiut 4 hours into the game.

Once you use Drives

Valor: fuse with Goofy, Red outfit, 2 keyblades, 3 gauges
Wisdom: Fuse with donald, b;ue one keyblade but you shoot out of it, 3
Masters: Fuse with both, yellow, 2 keyblades, 4 gauges
Final Form: best of all, fuse with both, silver, 2 keyblades. 5 gauges


You dont get these right away infact they are spread out evenly throught the game.

Once you use a form you have to refill gauge by getting the Yello orbs dropped by only heartless.

I'm not the kinda guy who normally judges things before I get to know them, nor am I the type of person who insults people because of what they like. And Sora looks like a bad*ss.
But theres something about Disney charicters that makes me want to rip somebodys head off. THATS why I couldn't play K.H seriously.
I think Disney, and I immeidietly think " Kiddish "
...But who am I to talk, I'm an insane Sonic the Hedgehog fan.
