There's this kid at my school who has a complete and total crush on me. It's extremely annoying. I mean, I hardly even know him! He just moved here after several years overseas, and he's already asked me out. At first I said yes, but then I decided I hated it after just one day, and I broke up with him. But still, he thinks I'll ask him out when I'm "ready", and of course, I'll never ask him out. He just can't take a hint! He says hi to me everytime I pass, even if I just saw him five minutes ago, and he is always trying to get my attention! I mean, I like him, but only as a friend. Should I tell him to take a hike, or should I try and put up with it, even if it costs me my sanity? I know it sounds kinda whiney, but I can't ask any of my friends for advice, because most of them don't know about it. As for the friend who does know about it, I can't ask him because he's best friends with the kid who likes me, and I'm afraid he will tell him if I ask.

Talk to him. Maybe he really doesn't take the hint, or he doesn't want to. Talking to him will cost you a lot, but you will feel much better, and he shouldn't be so annoying.

Ah I'm gonna assume you are a young teenager in like middle school or something because obviously he hasn't matured to the point that a guy can be "just friends" with a girl. Sorry to reccomend this, but the only way he's gonna stop is if you enter Ultra-...errmmm Mean mode.

I don't recommend that, because i've did like that kid in last year, my friend called Akane (her nick, i don't put the real name on here, ok? :3), i was crush on Akane..but in November 16th after going to sleep, i've recived (sp?) on msn, it was her, calling on me, she confessed me (she was a big stress + school stress) about me it all, and she broked my heart and my life..Now November 17th..my final day on my school i was in my last test of History, before i finished that test, i telled her like Ulrich ("Akane..DON'T VISIT ME AND LOOK ME NOW!") and i escaped from my school, i was running back to my house..to sleep more for 4 months.. 4 Months Later (last month), i've recived (sp again?) the e-mail from Akane, it was a excuse of mail about the incident of November 17th and i've responded her that we will be better friends again and she was happy to hear it..

lol I'm pretty much ALWAYS doing like that kid. Ah but you see when I was younger I didn't understand the concept of a relationship or whatever so it was either get the girl or fail and calling her the B-word. There was no "Friendship" in my mind. Because so long as she was talking to me I assumed that was hope.

Ah that was then, I've matured a bit now. So now I stay friends with the girl and be emo 75% of the time

As a guy, ive had experience in this area, the best way to end it is calmly and peacefully, if tempers get out of hand, it will make the situation that much worse. Personal experience is good in life.

Well as a guy i know that in a guy's mind "just friends" is just a step on the ladder, the next step being best friend, then boyfriend, etc..., now breaking it off peacefully with someone like this isn't going to happen, there are two ways to deal with this start going out with him then give him one of the classic break-up lines, "why don't we take a break", "we should see other people". etc... the other way was mentioned before, while it might seem cruel, don't just break his heart take it out rip it up and stomp on it. there are several ways to do this, get a boyfriend that is his either a close friend of his, or his worst enemy, I reccomend the close friend, the second is more direct, publicly berate, and hence humiliate, about being a stalker, I reccomend either, or some combination therof as they have both been used by girls to break up with me and worked, many a time.
