I had to take a super hard math test. I studied for like, 2 hours {brain-overload} and, on the day of the test {today} my math teacher told us have "pencils poised" (a.ka.-take notes) Math ends at 12:25. By the time we were finished taking notes, it was around 12. The test was super hard! Some of the stuff on it we weren't informed would be on it! I didn't finish on time, and had to stay in for recess. (more than half of us didn't finish it on time) It was an outside day, so people knew if you were staying in or not. While going in the lunch line, my teacher saw me without a coat and said, "Emily? You're staying in?" I felt so ashamed! I had let my teacher down! My friend told me that he had stayed in a lot for test-remakes, and to not sweat it-he'd leave a place for me during kickball. (
) So, anyway, I felt really crummy, and sad. When I finally got to recess, after 10 minutes, we had to go back inside. While we were lined up, some other girl that played kickball told me all the things I had 'missed out on' Now, when she had had to stay in, I never told her all the things she had 'missed out on' Gosh, what a jerk...
I feel really sad now. I feel that I let my teacher down, even though it wasn't my fault. What can I do to cheer me up?

{darn that workroom!!} Besides, turns out, she just thought I was staying in for homework!
