Have you guys noticed that Aelita says that fighting XANA is her mission? If XANA took away her Keys, she shouldn't have said that. But what are your thoughts?

Aelita's basically being a pessimist again - however it's noteable that while she still appears to have a martyr complex, she's not going on about trying to shut the computer down again like earlier in the episode - possibly getting her memories back has restored some sense of her own self-worth.

hmm i think it may have something to do wiht that untill recently she beleved to be only a virtual being and seemed to be ever ready to sacrafice evan her own life to save her friends

but i think that franz took control of lyoko in XANA's absecence (just my thaughts)

but as its not been announced in the show i guess we can't take this as the whole truth

wikipedia is usualy quite good but it is editable by everyone so it could have beed written by someone that has only seen say "the key" and drawn those conclusions

Wiki like Osiris says can be edited by anyone - also just WHAT happened in the final scenes of The Key is quite ambiguous - Franz might be alive, he might be dead.Aelita may have both of the keys, she may have none.

The best thing to do is approach the concept from 'outside of the show' - assuming in Season 3 we're still going to have fights inside Lyoko then Aelita cannot be 'all-powerful' as that basically turns her into God - the outcome is a forgone conclusion. Therefore we might assume Aelita does not have both keys.

All she knows how to do well is deactivate Xana's towers. Since she has her memory back, she may feel differently.

i hope S3 starts the end of this month. I watch the re-runs, but i know the plots to most of them.

176 days from now is Friday, September 5th, 2006. Assuming there are no delays in production, Season Three should begin airing in France on or around that day, and we can assume the US release would be around the same time.

We do not know what the effect of Xana getting Aelita's keys are other then shutting down the computer will no longer kill him.

Xana may still need to use the towers to do things on Earth and Aelita can probably still shut them down.

I think it has more to do with her realizing that shutting the computer down will no longer make any difference to either XANA's existence or her own.

Good point. That's what I'd say too. That and the existence of her father (and her newly restored childhood bond with him) still in Lyoko.

The interesting thing is that, for Aelita, her reality has completely flip-flopped. Now she's in the human world (with no life-tying connections to XANA), trying to save a virtual prisoner, just as Jeremie was in Season 1 and parts of season 2. This might help her understand Jeremie's point of view a little when it comes to how he was so protective of her while she was still tied to Lyoko. Not that I don't already think she understands somewhat, but walking a mile in another person's shoes can make things far more clearer. ^^
