Well...actually a couple of rants.

OK, well, I just joined this forum, so I'm new here and all, so...here are my rants (yes, I know how to behave at a forum )

1. OK, I had a sleepover for my 13th birthday a couple weeks ago. We're having fun, and playing Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (yes, I play it and I'm a girl and I shouldn't like that kind of stuff =P). Anyway, about 2:00 in the morning, they start playing Truth or Dare. Being the sissi (get it, sissi?) I am, I don't play. My friends start daring my other friends to go out into the street and shout stuff like "I'm an idiot" or something. My mom comes out just when they're settling down for their next dare and she looks at me with her "we've gotta talk" stare. I follow her into her room and she yells at me for twenty minutes about how I'm responsible.

So...I go out and try to calm them down. I fall alseep on the couch at around 3:15 because I was bored, and my faithful and loyal friend Katie falls asleep with me. I love her, she's just like me with the Sonic/Pokemon/Code LYOKO obsession and thinks Shadow could beat up Sonic anyday. So...I wake up at around 4:00, and my friend (or so-called) Brittany is getting the peanut butter from the kitchen. I ask her what she's doing and she says "Oh, I'm just getting a drink." (The next quotes are me, then Brittany, etc.) "Well, peanut butter isn't a drink." "Don't you mind us. We're doing something private." "Well, what? Are you still playing truth or dare?" "No, we decided on something more fun." I wait until she's in my room and then sneak to the door and crack it open. They're making my friend Rachel (who has the same name as me =P) peanut butter, mustard, and some other thing I don't know.

So, being the boss-around person I am (mostly from babysitting my two brothers and sister nine hours a day), I ask them what in the heck do they think they're doing? Cause I'll get in trouble. They say that I should just go back to sleep and not mind them. Then...being someone who has a very low temper and is very sensitive...mostly because of my Asperger's Syndrome, start half-crying, half-yelling at them because I know how mean my mom can get. I kept it low and told them they'd be in big trouble along with me if anything got on my floor or if my mom came out.

Guess what? My mom comes out. She talks to me again, and tells me if they don't stop it, I'm getting in big trouble.

So...I go back to my room and try to persuade them to stop it. Unfortunately, I persuade a little too loud. My mom comes out and she yells at me again. Then she sends me to my sister's room to sleep. I don't have a problem with that, but it woulda been fun to sleep in the living room. Thankfully, she made my friends sleep back in the living room.

So, on my 13TH BIRTHDAY PARTY, I was the unlucky one. 13 does not come nice to me.

2. Whenever I babysit my sister and brothers, they always seem to want to threaten me or hurt me or whatever. I can't do anything about it, because no matter how many talks my Uncle Jack, Mom, Jesse, Leah, and I have, they keep acting the same way, and I'm powerless to stop them! By the time Mom comes home from her interviews and work, since my dad isn't with my mom anymore (even though he wasn't really my dad anyway), I've got bruises and everything and stuffers.

That really suxx.

3. This one's a good rant.

I can't post in those forums though T-T

BUT STILL! YOU HAVE THE VOICE ACTORS HERE! ERYNN, YOU SO TOTALLY ROCK! How'd you ever track them down and get them to join? By the way, I luv your site. It's very good. And I've heard of some of the fanfictions you've got featured.

I CAN'T BELIEVE MATTHEW GECZY IS HERE! AND SISSI'S VOICE ACTOR TOO! JODI, RIGHT? WHOOPS, I HAVE THE CAPS LOCK ON...there, better. Ulrich is played by a girl, cool =P

Having Asperger's Syndrome my self, I know just how you feal. It's like trying to talk in latten to a chines guy: you both don't know what your saying, and then you get in troble for it. My worst problem is the little que the send out when they want me to shut up.
The who slang thing is also bad, because it seems to chang once a week.

My advice: buy a bunch of phsycology books, I personaly recomend Why the Tost Always Lands Butter Side Down (To get a quick glance into the twisted minds of "Normal" people.), as well as looking talking to other people in the Asperger's /Autistic range.

As for your rants...

1.) I'm truly sorry to hear about that happening. I'm guessing your mom doesn't take a whole lot of guff, does she? It might be wise to try to talk to her about what happened at a time when neither of you are agitated... Just bring it up calmly and say that you don't like what happened. (Do NOT accuse her of anything, though-- if you do, she'll get defensive and you won't get anywhere. Avoid the word 'you' as much as you can.)

Happy birthday, by the way! (Even though it happened a while ago, it sounds like.)

2.) Wow, that definitely sucks! Sounds like you need to be more firm with them, if possible. When you say stop, make sure they know you MEAN 'stop', even if you have to raise your voice.

3.) You'll be ready to get into the group allowed to talk to them in no time, I'm sure. The reason why we have that restraint on it is a spam precaution, and to keep so many people from joining who are only in it to talk to them. I'm very happy to hear that you're excited about talking to them, too. ^^ And I'm sure once they meet you they'll think you're awesome, too. (They're SO nice...)

They all used to be on another forum to talk to fans, but then another site bought them and everyone was supposed to move to the new site. Few people seemed to like that place, though, and mine was convenient, so a lot of people joined LF then. The voice actors eventually all migrated over here too. Imagine my shock when I found out Jodi Forrest had joined (she was the first to come)!

4.) Like Rodri said, the Technical Discussion forum can be used as a place for website advertising.

My parents get mad easily too. If I get lower than a 94 on an assignment, my Dad gets really pissed off. Then they always take away my stuff, computer keyboard,Ipod, other stuff that I like because I do minor things. It gets kinda annoying.

Yes, my mother does that too. She thinks anything lower than an A (pluses and minuses included) is a bad grade.
Last year, in the second quarter, I got all A's and a B+. When my parents saw that, they yelled at me nonstop for two hours, and said I was grounded until I could get straight A's on my report card. I never got straight A's again, so I was grounded for a total of 189 days. That's more than a school year.

Because I'm an only child, if they find out something bad happens, the first person they blame is me.

Don't blame your sensitivity on a mental problem that seldom exists. I think that is simply your personality trait that you are sensitive and there is nothing wrong with that. Heck, they told me all my life I had that BS excuse for a disease. I'm hardly sensitive at all. Anwyay, I would reccomend being more assertive with your friends. Such as, the next time you see them, lay down some ground rules for the next time an occasion like this should come around. If you show your friends that you're the one in charge (when your mother is asleep) at your house, they will not do stupid things like that.

Yes, but one doesn't always have to be right. She doesn't have to take your advice if she doesn't want to or if she feels it doesn't fit her situation. Sometimes we think we know when honestly we haven't a clue.

I beg your pardon?

I was merely refering to the fact that you don't seem to believe in the disease that she has and that you are suggesting she not use it as an "excuse". Just because our own personal beliefs about mental illnesses may lead us to think that many of them are "non-existant", there are many instances in which it does indeed exist and the person has a right to explain that they act in such a way because of their illness. She mentioned that it frustrates her when people treat her as if she's merely over-reacting and doesn't actually have a condition. You were doing so, and all I was doing was kindly advising you not press that issue any further.

Anyway, I'm sorry to hear your 13th birthday party was not as happy as you may have liked it to be A.E.L.I.T.A. At least though, you were still able to have your friends over for the party. Hopefully, this incident will let your sisters know that they should listen to you when you advise them to stop doing something because it will get all of you into trouble. Now that they've seen that you're right about things your mom will get angry about, I'm sure they'll take your advice to heart when you give it and something like this won't happen again for a long time.
