Scared Sick

I’m really scared now. My dad had cancer last year but he got better. Now he is having stomach pains and I think he has it again. The doctors gave him a test not to long ago and nothing showed up, but what if the test is wrong? His doctor thinks it is gallbladder stones or something like that but I don’t know. I’m so scared I don’t know what to do. My stomach is in knots and I just want someone to be with me I feel like a total wreck. My dads in pain and I don’t know what to do to help. My mom is at work and we can’t get a hold of her. Bad thought keep running through my head like: What if my dad doses have cancer again? What if he dies? What will I do? I’m so confused and don’t know what to do. Help me.

I wish I could suggest not thinking about it. That's obviously not an option here. Just keep your hopes high. Doctor reports are 99.6% accurate with technology today. If you're religious at all, pray. That always helps me feel better.
I have great empathy for you, and personally, I think everything is going to be fine in the end.

How sad! My dad has serious asmah (seriously SP) and he has smoker's cough and all sorts of smoking-related affects. I almost got second-hand smoke from it . I know what it's like to have my dad's life on the line... I'm so sorry! But the BB of C is right, with all the techonology and everything, you shouldn't worry. : )

I'm so sorry..

all i can say is pray to god and hope for the best and he will keep trying.

My grandfather who is 78 started smoking at the age of 11(mexico didn't care)and started drinking at 15(again,they didn't care)and quit around 2000.

My mom and her relatives prayed for him so he wouldn't die and so he would stop and he is still alive today!God will help him,don't worry and just be nice to him and things like that.It'll make him feel better.

Thank you guys. The update is when my mom got home she called his doctor. He said to go to the hospital if my dad needed to. So my parents left about 15 minuets ago. Apparently the nurse made to judgment that he had gallbladder stones form what he descried. She sent him to have an ultra sound, which we have not gotten back yet. My parents are going to get the results ether today at the hospital. Me, well, I'm happy I have people I can talk to.

My mom came back late last night and told me that the nurse was right. So my dad is going to have surgery today to have the gallbladder stones removed. The good thing is he doesn’t have cancer and he is going to be better soon. I want to specially thank codeTONY for being there when I needed someone to just talk to. It helped so much.
