EFFING RENTS.

Postby rachaelkawaii » Sun Feb 05, 2006 2:17 pm

haha, guess what I'm ranting. yes that's right. want to know why?! cause some people's parents are effing retarted. My "bf" and I talk online a lot cause he lives sort of far away. So like a couple weeks ago he finds out his parents are gonna take away his internet because of bad grades but once report cards come out and they see he has good grades they'll give his internet back.

Well report cards came out and he had good grades. but no, his parents decided to be retards and are still "thinking" about giving his internet back. I feel like killing something(please don't take that seriously). :arg: :cussout: :whatever: >:O :sad1: :sleepy5:

...Well, now. That wasn't nice of them at all..Sometimes I don't understand parents at all.

..I'm sure eventually you'll get to talk to him again. I know stuff like this has happened to me loads of times...

Hang in there.
What will you remember me for?

That happens. :/

Are you sure they don't have another reason to be taking away his internet? He may have left out a few details when he told you what happened...
Don't bother sending me messages or anything, I'm not in charge of the site anymore.

But I do love dancing.

I don't think he's keeping anything from me. I texted him(after I found out):

Wtf! Tim just told me that your rents are still thinking bout it! It's not fair, stand up to them. Love ~

His reply:

Yeah i think as long as i'm good they will give it back, love you

So I've calmed down a bit and been texting back and forth so I feel a lot better. I'm just gonna be optimistic and figure that he'll get his internet back soon. What sort of....*is trying to find the right word*....shook?irked? me was that he was so calm sounding.

Hey, internet isn't the world. I ALWAYS get my computer priveleges taken away. Once you start obssessing over the fact that you can't get on the internet, it's time to take a break. Some people can't LIVE without the internet and I find this absolutely ridiculous. Find other means to talk. Like phone maybe. But in the long run, all this means is that his parents care about him, and want the best for him. That's good. And this probably was good for him. He probably got his grades up, and a little time to exercise or something.

So yes, I think that it was fair of his parents to do that. But, who are we to judge the way his parents raise him?

Not everybody is the same. Although, I haven't been much online, lately.

The phone is another good way, I can agree. It takes long distance relationships to another level. This doesn't mean I never had a RL relationship. I did, but it went to hell after 2 months. It was a matter of looks... and to change my looks, it will cost a lot of cash (kinda the Michael Jackson way, but after seeing how that went, I can see myself cursed for life for not being born white... don't ask). And time. And to destroy my lazyness.

Depends... my parents would never accept what would be better for me. One of the things I had as a good thing will be destroyed soon. Like moving to a new apartment this month where I wouldn't be far away from my dad. If only my mother could walk and win more cash than my dad, I'd be perfectly happy. Hell, she might even grant me the one thing I want to do, but because of lack of cash, I can't.

It'd be interesting to see ourselves as fathers. Don't you think so?

Back on the topic... let me see... but I think we'll need to know what he did to make his parents not give him his Internet connection back. Stick to phone talking, in any case.

woah, woah, woah. I'm not saying we don't talk on the phone and such. I mean like I was mostly letting off steam there.

Oh and Paige, how can you think that someone breaking their promise was fair? Let's forget for a second that they're his parents. Let's say it's you...and someone tells you if you help them take care of their dog for a week they will pay you immediately afterwards. So the week is up and you've done what they said and no money. It's the same thing....do you think that was fair?

To put it shortly what I'm getting at is they broke their promise to him and I don't know about you but whenever someone does that I don't find it fair. Especially cause he did nothing to alter the circumstances like breaking curfew.

Also I hope you realize that a lot of parents can be doing the wrong thing for their kid without meaning to. It's called bad parenting skills and it just so happens that not all adults are perfect so that tends to happen. I'm not blaming his parents for what they did. Because you're prolly right with the thought that they were trying to do what was best. However breaking your promise to your kid usually isn't what's best. At least in my opinion. So you can see why my anger was directed towards them....

That's like seeing a father being abusive to his child and saying you can't judge him just cause he can raise his child anyway he likes.

Hey, since when was life fair?!

And, in this case, it has NOTHING to do with abuse. I'm saying these people CARE for their son, and abusive parents obviously do not. It's stupid when you have to use the opposite of what is being talked about to prove your point.
