(Photoshop) A world without... Lyoko?

Actually, it's a Corel Photo-Paint, not a Photoshop, but that's splitting hairs.

This is just a dumb idea I got while thinking about the revelations of season two. It's basically a "what if" scenario: What if Franz Hopper had stayed a teacher, never created XANA, Lyoko, etc. and Aelita had grown up normally? What would've happened to her?

Good question. I only make them when I get inspired, and my Muse is fickle. I do have one that's a Lyoko/Teen Titans crossover here, though.

Aelita's mom would be Mrs. Hopper. IIRC, Aelita is 12 and she was virtualized (and stopped aging) in '94. If the show is contemporaneous, then she should be about 24. A tad young for a teacher, but not impossible. The median age for a new schoolteacher (in the US, anyway) these days is about 26.

(Of course, if I ruminate too long on this I wind up with screwed-up ideas. For instance, "Aelita Hopper" presumably has a legal identity - of an adult, no less - and a solid paper trail leading to her birth that Aelita Stones doesn't have. If Jeremie rigged the records to place Aelita Stones under the legal guardianship of Aelita Hopper, Aelita wouldn't have to worry about Odd's parents getting contacted by someone at Kadic. But I'm getting off topic. )

Aelita reminds me of Mrs. Meyer in that picture.

Mrs. Meyer served as a template for getting the head and shoulder (jacket) dimensions correct - in fact, the collar is hers. (The extension for Aelita's hair was similarly a heavily modified shot of bits of Meyer's hair.) And that generic classroom background is identical to the one Meyer teaches in. (Though IIRC I got both halves from the history class.)

And Mrs. Hertz. It's not as obvious because of her hair, but her eyes are 2/3s down her head, just like the other big foreheads. (Spend an afternoon staring at screenshots, you notice these things.)
