I hope Starway will forgive me for putting this up here but I really have no-where else to put it and really need some feedback on my style of writing. I think it'l be okay as it isn't that long an extract.
As for the fine details - I knocked this up last night after listening to a music cue from 'Anastasia' where Anastasia recieves the tiara of her mother Alexandra Romanov, Empress of Russia - it was so sweeping and emotional that I decided to channel my emotions into a short piece, which will form part of a larger project;

The scanner cried out and it’s doors opened to reveal a perfectly normal and well preserved man in his fifties.
Wheezing from lungs atrophied without use Hopper leaned on the doorframe and Odd moved to support him as the last scanner began to thrum up to full construction speed.

Glad you guys liked it - I'm kinda proud of it as I wrote it via unconventional means.
Listening to music for inspiration I do all the time - what was unusual here was that I intentionally worked myself into a crying fit to try and get a sense of what Hopper would have been feeling - I had tears streaming all over my face.
Here's another Hopper-centralised clip from the prologue chapter. As ever, if Starway wants it removed I'll take it down in a flash.

“Open up the engines again, maybe a little faster this time.â€
