I heard from my dad that he heard on the news that the Coca-Cola company has made a decision to take vanilla coke off the market. Why? Because it is said to be not selling very well.

Personally, I am outraged by this. I love vanilla coke, and now I feel the need to go buy lots and lots of it, just for the purpose of having some before I cant get it at all. We should start a petition (or find an existing one) that will help keep vanilla coke on the shelves. IMO, it is the best tasting coke product, and I want it to stay around.

Please find it in your hearts to buy more vanilla coke...we need to show the Coca-Cola company that their fading product has more fans than it thinks.

Yeah, I like Vanilla Coke but petitions are fairly useless. A letter writing campagn (with real rather than "E-Mail" letters) is usually a more effective solution.

Anyway, if they do ditch it. At least as long as they make regular Coke, we can make Vanilla Coke ourselves.

-Boil the alcohol out of Vanilla Extract (It tastes nasty if you don't)
-refridgerate it
-Add it to regular Coca Cola.

And, like I said, you can always "vanilla-up" your own coke. I just wish there was a way to recreate Pepsi Blue and Crystal Pepsi. I LOVED those drinks.

The only vanilla pop I drink is cherry vanilla dr. pepper. I never much cared for any of the other vanilla pops. And I agree, Pepsi Blue is completely nasty....

The only versions of Coke we have in Jamaica are regular and diet. Same with Pepsi. We did have Pepsi Blue. Seawater tastes better than Pepsi Blue.

Vanilla coke was OK. I'm still a big fan of MD but of course I still drink Vanilla Coke anyways! It's something sugary for me to drink! And everyone knows me on sugar.

When they were first selling Vanilla Coke in test markets, my city happened to be one of those. So they were selling bottles of it for 25 cents! I hit several stores and bought out their entire stock I liked it so much!!

Sadly, by the time it became a regular part of the coke family, I was burned out on it. But I DO enjoy Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper. I understand Coke is going to release a Cherry Vanilla Coke in the near future, I'll be sure to give that a shot.
