President Obama swats fly, Peta whines

Yep. If you haven't heard already, Barack Obama swatted a fly during an interview, used his ninja skills to get it, and then PETA got all weepy about it.

All I can say is that PETA needs to find a better use for their time. Seriously, it's a FLY. They don't live long in the first place, and they crawl all over feces and then crawl on your food.

If PETA really cared that much, they would have spent their time dealing with the punk-wannabe kid in Florida who was recently convicted of slaughtering cats for no apparent reason...

I was not aware flyswatting was a pivotal presidential function. Maybe next, they should make a scene about how this cruelty to the beings with which we share our earth translates to his family's inability to care for a dog. I wonder what kind of catchy slogans they could make out of that.

If this is the kind of stuff that people have to start watching themselves on camera for, president or no, I've lost all faith in the media and probably humanity now too. Especially since I see TV reporters swatting at stuff all the time.


Plus this is like...week old news. ; I thought the Harvey Milk screenwriter scandal was the latest butt-monkey media spotlight?

Edit: Just to be sure, that rant wasn't directed at anyone other than PETA...and the stupid media that still persists in paying them any attention.

PeTA has good intentions, but since they're all so radical, generally batsh*t crazy, and exaggerate everything, it's hard to take them seriously.

Accutally last year at the sportsmans and outdoor show they were selling shirts that said proud member of PETA - people for the eating of tasty animals, aparrently they sold really well.

PETAs always been crazy like this. They send death threats to well known hunters all the time (Micheal Wadell has said that they send him letters threatening to kill him and his wife and childern just becuase he hunts).

They set up stands out front of stores and speak out against fur clothing (I went on a trip to new york with my mom and a woman she knows, PETA was outside Macys protesting the sale they were having and showing videos of animals being skinned, yelling out about how the animals were skinned alive, the woman we were with yelled at him "no they don't, they shoot them in the head first!", PETAman was not pleased obviously. everybody around us thought it was hilarious.)



I may not like Obama because I'm a republican, but I'm also a hunter, so I hate PETA even more. so I'm going to have to back up the prez on this one, PETA's just being a stupid attention whore
