How many of you guys hate the purple, pedophilic excuse for a dinosaur known as Barney? Personally, Lyons Partnership needs to fire Cheryl Leach and come up with something less sugary and illogical, because 10 seasons of seeing a pedophilic dinosaur with a bunch of child sex slaves is a disgrace to television everywhere. ...I think this is a little rediculous. Yes, the show has been sugary. No, it's not pedophillic. The show's writer are running out of materials, so they're getting a little sugary themselves. No, they're not child slaves. Yes, there is a chance that parents use TVs as babysitters. That is, however, the parent's choice overall.

Also, "Shortly after the show's debut..." meaning at the beginning of the series. If you'll recall, the show has been around for a very long time. I think if anything would have been done, it would have been done by now. And if someone did lure a child away with this message, it's then out of the hands of the writers/show producers, and is free to be twisted in the human minds.

Some parents think that the show is merely an attempt to make a profit. Heck, it's been on for 10 years while Sesame Street (the more superior show) has been on for over THIRTY of those years.

Yes, it is okay. I'm sorry Taelia...this topic is clearly mis-informed, and frankly as others have said, it's just plain ridiculous. If you don't like Barney then don't watch it. Do not, however, go throwing around the word "Pedophile" (or "Pedophilia" ) if that is simply not the case and you know it. Thank you.
