Yesterday, my xbox 360 got the RROD. I am sick of having the lights. I'm going to get a PS3 next week and I'm wondering about the 40 GB version, can you play your PS and PS2 games on it.

Emulation + Linux = Yes, extensively... Also, PS3 is x100 faster than intel. A hacker's dream. I'm saving up the dough as we speak. :3

The 40 gig system is the only PS3 that is not backwards compatible. I heard they're gonna make a 100 gig system soon or something else in that manner so maybe you should hold off a bit.

I need to get rid of that PS2.

But I want the one with backwards compatibility. So I can play UmJammer Lammy and Gran Turismo 4.

And how do you make a PS2 memory card save PS1 games and load them?

i would get a 20 gig version mainly because i don't store that i can't think of anything to store that much stuff on there.

lol, I totally forgot I already made a PS3 thread but if I posted a reply on it, it would be, i forgot the term but its against the rules.

Keep your PS2, get the cheaper PS3. Why waste your money?

I think the term you're searching for is "Necroposting". ^_^ However, necroposting to revive an older thread (so long as it's adding something to the conversation or an update of some sort) is fine, as opposed to creating a new thread.
