Maybe the British version was different or something.

I have a question:

Why is it that westerners sometimes consider Catholicism, Protestantism, and Eastern Orthodox Christianity to be different religions when comparing the populations of world religions, but they consider Sunni and Shi'ite Islam to be the same religion, even though the latter two are much more different than the former three?

Probably because esterners don't take the time to Learn about foreign cultures and customs. Not everyone is always so open to learn about other places as others in America, so we pick at the detaisl in our lives here and everything outside our liuttle bubble is blurry.

So it's pretty safe to say that for religeion, culture, or anything, really, America is Nearsighted.

Therefore, I propose we make GIANT glasses that cover the entire country!

And then on hot days the sun'll beam down and fry all the ants, except for ants it'll be people...

You can read it again... y'know.

At least, It's true for New Hampshire. But then again, I'm american Myself, and Nearsighted. I don't know much about anywhere else, I can only form on opinion.

And even still, most of it is other people's opinions...

Anyways, BACK on topic.

Something or other. Theology classes like to get technical. :D

I'm Catholic, but I hardly notice it...cept I go to a Catholic school and I go to church for an hour every Sunday. But I've been doing that all my life, so I'm used to it. I'm not exactly obsessed with my faith, but I'm proud of it. No dissin, cause Jesus knows where you live.

BWAHAHAHA

Once a kid brought a Jesus action figure to school. It had "Karate Chop Action", and it ran accross the floor. His arm came off. I have to find out where they sell those.

Vodka Boy wrote:Christians are the light of this planet, everyone knows that. I listen to Marilyn Manson, but, eh, that doesn't mean I'm a Satan worshiper, okay? I don't really think religion should affect what kind of music you listen to.

Okay, a few things.

First off, if you're looking for a sure-fire way to prevent a Flame War, DO NOT- under ANY circumstances- say that. Christians are NOT the "Light of this Planet," or the center of the universe. No one is the center of the universe (no one MORTAL, that is) and that sort of thing is something that could be taken the wrong way. It sounds very elitist and I would appreciate it if you didn't say that again and that you try and THINK before speaking.

Second off, I do agree that Religion shouldn't affect what sort of music you should listen to. People in my church group have asked me, "Why don't you listen to more Christian Rock, Sith?" (Note: 'Sith' is in place of my name.) The reason is that, though I am Roman Catholic, I dislike Christian Rock.

Personally, if you judge someone by religion they are (like music) it's...racist. Or whatever word is right. :D

Discrimination would be a proper (but somewhat vague) term, but that's besides the point.

No, I'm not making that up on my children. The offical match was Vince McMahon & Shane McMahon vs Shawn Micheals & God. It took place at the 2006 Backlash PayPerView... the gist of the storyline was Vince being jealous of Shawn's born-again christianity. Thus Vince made his own religion, McMahonism.

So yeah pinfall victory over God... And I'm still waiting for him to get smited for that because if anything is a hell-worthy trespass it's that.
