How did CL get started?

It was developed by Antefilms Ltd. from a 5-minute pilot called Garage Kids featuring Jeremy, Odd, Ulrich and Yumi only. It also featured a virtual world called Xanadu and an unnamed amorphous black monster that lived there and could influence the real world.

Yumi had telekinesis in the real world in Garage Kids. Ulrich's Xanadu form looked like a thug with huge parachute pants.

So far all I know is that Code Lyoko was originally called Garage Kids since that was the name of the pilot episode produced I believe in 2001. It had Odd as the main character finding out about Jeremie, Ulrich, and Yumi's secret life fighting XANA. Soon Odd joins the team in beating XANA. Oh and Aelita wasnt around when this was produced.

That and the pictures shown during the credits credits are tops on my list of why I adore Garage Kids. Good point there! Jamiroquai and Code Lyoko...they should try doing that again sometime.

I remember we once argued a bit about Antefilms and Jamiroquai... at the end, I guess Jamiroquai never knew about Antefilms not crediting them on GK, or they just don't care (GK and CL ain't that popular) about it.

I think the Antefilms site also has some GK concept art, showing possible future GK characters, of which the only ones that made it to CL (so far) were Milly and Tamiya. They also had some concept pictures of the four main characters in normal day wear, underwear, and sleepwear.

Oh yeah! That debate about who'd win if they went to court about it? I remember that...I guess they really either didn't know, or didn't care, or something was worked out between them later on that just never went public...we may never know... ^_^

Oh yeah! I should go find the links to those...*goes to AnteFilms site* Wha-wha-what!!!??? They've totally revamped their site!!! No more GK stuff, just CL stuff now (neat CL stuff but still...)! Aww...and I really liked that concept art too...

I'll forever miss that "full cast picture" ( )...good thing I saved as many pics from that site as I could...missed out on the cast picture, but I've got the ones of Ulrich and Yumi's Xanadu forms. I'll miss that old GK site.

Does anyone know how the actual Lyoko got started, who created it? Did Jeremie?

No, Jeremie didn't create Lyoko. There's no proof of who actually created it, but Jeremie definitely didn't. I think in a few episodes he's mentioned that they 'don't know everything about Lyoko yet, so we shouldn't ______' (Like in Seeing Is Believing, if I'm not mistaken.)
