Total agreement Rodri. 251 was the best number for Pokemon both for new and old fans at that time. This whole new pokedex with them rewritting all the numbers was just...meh-ish...251 at that time allowed us to discover new pokemon while still be able to remember the original 150(1?). Besides the new series just takes out the old-school pokemon that we all know and love.

*snickers* I'll take that challenge. I guarantee you I can find a veritable anthology of Ash and Misty stories (some of which are the equivalent length of books by themselves).

This has nothing to do in terms of which couple is better, but I can guarantee you that there are far more Ash/Misty fics than Ash/May...simply because Misty had 5 seasons worth of episodes with Ash, and May's only had 3 yet.

My apologies...but I don't think a contest of who has more fanfictions written for them will win you an argument for Ash/May. *sweatdrop*

Seeing as I've been a fan of both the show and the game. I've played and beaten all the games as well as beating people from nintendo and seeing all the esisodes I will put this matter to rest. Misty is better not because she's had more shows or because she is a gym leader or anything like that. She is better because she is in love with ash. We've seen lots of this in the show. And if you think I am lying find Misty's song, it was on the pokemon cd. And if thats not enough watch pokemon 2000 and that should be enough.

That's my point! They've added 200+ more since the Johto League with NO PLANS OF STOPPING. Pretty soon they're going to start cross-breeding some of the older pokemon and give them messed-up names.

All your points about May being better than Misty all can work against you. Being 11 and only a coordinater, you just proved to me that Misty is a hell lot more mature than May is and much more experienced. And being a trainer with a variety of types doesn't help in context for the story. The main story is Ash is trying to become the Pokemon master. Having Misty specialize in Water Pokemon and Brock in Rock/Ground Pokemon allowed them to teach Ash about their respective types and others that effect them (Weakness and Strengths etc...). May having a variety of types forces Ash to start teaching /her/ about being a Pokemon Trainer/Master (whatever she's planning on being). This draws away from the original and intended plotline of ASH wanting to become the Pokemon Master.

Also, you made a series of books about Ash/May? Well good for you. Both couplings have a lot of fanfics based about them. Ash and Misty certinaly have "series of books" about them as well.

And Darkness...You don't love Yumi in CL just because she loves Ulrich do you? Misty and May both "love" Ash. You can't say one's better because she loves Ash.

Notice that there is a huge difference between Misty and May. You can claim that May is a coordinator, but Misty had also assumed that role pretty well before. Watch some past episodes with Misty on them and you'll see my point. But no... you happen to dislike Misty for the only reason that you prefer May and Ash together. That's just as bad as how some people claim that Odd should rot in hell for complimenting Aelita and calling her a princess (heh, Ulrich called her that once), thus thinking that Odd would f**k up the "relationship" (which is just to me as a very good friendship between Jeremie and Aelita) of J/A.

Misty can also show variety in many things that she can do. She can assume leadership, she could also care about her friend's stuff and Pokémon and if you thought she was limited to only aquatic Pokémon... then have you forgotten about that worthless piece of s**t known as Togepi?

Good point, Minzee. Cross-breeding Pokémons... But hey, it should happen someday. There's gotta be alterated Pokémons already. Some might even have genetic diseases. But the writers don't care about that. All they care is to satisfy their little fans and give them more and new monsters so they can enjoy it and still have Ash to win every damn battle against Team Rocket.

Now when you see Ash most of the time being successful against Team Rocket, then something's not good here. It bores to see Team Rocket lose all or most of the time. If there was some episode portraying a Team Rocket vicotry, it would have spiced up the things in Pokémon and also bring up pretty interesting angles since Ash wouldn't be that "invincible anymore". I was hoping someday to see Ash getting his butt trashed by TR. But no, Pikachu comes and saves the day. It is old enough for someone? For me, yes... but producers won't give a crap about it. Instead they would rather satisfy their stupid little fans which happen to love the show and beg to their parents to buy them the merchandise and stuff and crap. The other mature Pokémon fans like the show, buy some of the stuff avaiable, but they keep thinking that it could have been better in another way.
