MSNBC.com has a column that's run by this woman named Gael Fashingbauer. Every summer for the past three years she's done a best and worst commercial contest. This year the winner *or should it really be loser?* for worst commercial was the HeadOn commercial.

Here, the advertising company buys two timeslots for that commercial twice in a row.

So I hear "HEAD ON APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE FOREHEAD!!!" six times in a row.

*whimper*
Bang, baby.

Have you seen the new commercial yet?

They openly mock there own commercial.

The commercial starts out as normal, but then a person interrupts and says "your commercials are annoying, but your product is great".

lol

I think the annoying commercials were just to get attention, but I wonder
if they had the mocking there own commercial idea from the very beginning?

Either way I'm probably still not going to try the stuff, unless it's free.

Gowf, I HATE that commerical.

What does Head-On (apply directly to the forehead) DO anyway? I mean, Head-On (apply directly to the forehead) is only advertised as being Head-On (apply directly to the forehead). Is Head-On (apply directly to the forehead) a pain reliever? Concealer? Magical sparkly glue? Seriously, the purpose of Head-On (apply directly to the forehead) completely eludes me.

Yes, I ranted like that on purpose.

I found it sorta amusing the first time I heard it...but the 12 other times that same day, it became annoying and aggrivating.

Yeah, aren't commercials supposed to say what the thing they're selling IS, and not just be annoying? The only thing people know about that after they see the commercial is that you apply it directly to the forehead.

It's a migraine reliever? Shouldn't it say that in the commercial?

I think that commercial has eluded us all, my friend. Personally, I have no friggin' idea how they can market something like that without giving some kind of background of it. All it does is bludgeon us over our heads with the blunt end of it's instructions!! :die:

Lol...incidentally...have any of you seen the two newest ones?

The ones with a guy and a girl (separately) that make fun of the commercial itself? Haha...looks like they found a new creative marketing team or something. ^^;
