I guess that was just in their experience..*top picks* it all depends on the player..I would think that mario and link were in my top spots...DK isnt bad...but for certain situations he is ineffective...like that roll technique you mentioned.

Hm......I'm pretty good with most of the chars, but my bests are(in order from best to worst)Roy, Bowser, Mewtwo, and DK. I love using DK's ground-slamming move, it just owns. I won the 100-man melee thing with him using pretty much only that.(no lie) I can own pretty much any computer player on lvl 9 with most of them, but the hardests to beat was Ganandorf.(stupid cheap moves)

LOL in the 100-man-melee I just kept using Fox's Fox Illusion move. The only drawback from that is that sometimes I fell off the stage.

Falco is my main guy... although if Im playing somewhere else and they dont have him I dont use fox, I use Link

Yeah, that's a real big drawback to using that if your on a small stage like that

At first, Dr. Mario was easiest to learn, then I moved on to Ness, because he pwned in the N64 game, but his powers got shrank in this one, so I moved from there to Jigglypuff, because the down B is GODLY, but because any half decent human player is too smart to get hit, I moved to Roy, the only character I can beat the 50th event match with, I can't beat crowds with him though, so my end result is to spam Jigglypuffs rollover (B) attack, and charge back and forth across the stage endlessly untill my frustrated opponent quits the game/commits suicide.

Heh, I can do crowds with anyone, expacially the ones mentioned above. I have yet to get the record on Endless Melee though...

I can beat 3 level 9 computers with 4-5 characters, as long as they aren't on a team. I'm good at evading untill I have to attack. JP is good for arial escapes.

I once tok one two lvl 9's on a team as my best...got my butt whooped. Tried two lvl 9 weaker guys that weren't on team...forgot what happened

'Eh, I'm good with anyone (even the characters I dislike). My fav's are Gannondorf, Young Link, Falco, Roy, and Luigi. I also like Dr. Mario, Link, Zelda, Yoshi, and D.K. Yeah, I like to balance myself. Metaknight is looking pretty sweet in Brawl, as well as Pit.

I'm rather excited for Brawl. Although I don't have a Wii, my brother plans on getting on once Brawl comes out.
My only problem would be trying to adapt to the Wii's controls since I've never played it before and it looks a little... odd.
Wikipedia claims that it comes out February 10th in the USA, but I don't know whether or not it's a reliable source.
