The United States tied against Italy... who would've thought it. They even had one player less on the field since the very beginning of the second half.

Hrvatska - Japan: 0-0 They might have little chances to pass to 2nd round. Japan's f***ed, since they'll have to face Brasil.

Brasil - Australia: 2-0. D: Goals from Adriano (with a pass from that dimwit Ronaldo) and Fred. Brasil qualified already.

Holy s**t... Korea just tied France... 1-1. Goals from Henry and J. S. Park. And Zidane will miss the 3rd match. And Domenech is a jack*ss. He doesn't use David Trezeguet at all. 90 min, he puts him in to change Zidane.

As for today, didn't get to see the first two matches, but Tunisia/Spain was good. Tunisia actually had a 1-0 lead into the 70th minute before Spain showed how good they can be in the face of adversity.

Reality struck when España turned the tables around. 3-1... and a nice match from Fernando Torres (top scorer of the competition with 3 goals, he scored a penalty against Saudi Arabia and today he scored the last two goals). Now they're on the 8th finals...

What else? Also, earlier, Switzerland beated Togo up by 2-0 and Ukranija raped Saudi Arabia by 4-0.

Tomorrow Group A and B closes. The question is who plays with Ecuador and who plays with Deustchland. The easiet rival seems to be Ecuador... as for group B...

England's safe, but they would like to avoid the host. Sverige has got 4 points (1-0 goal difference) and Trinidad & Tobago might qualify if England defeats Sverige by 2-0 and Trinidad & Tobago wins against Paraguay by 2-0 (if they win by 1-0, England might have to win 3-0 to make T&T pass). But most likely, England and Sverige pass to 8th finals.

Notice that tomorrow Ecuador vs Deustchland and Costa Rica vs Polska are held at the same time. Same for England vs Sverige and Paraguay vs Trinidad & Tobago. This is just a measure to avoid fraud (like the way Italia got eliminated from Euro 2004 whn Sverige and Danmark tied their match, making Italians suspect of fraud).

Well england are through to play equador, 2-2, although we should've won, awful defending on sweden's second goal but we're through, and i think germany will beat sweden and england'll beat equador

Well, as we all expected, the US was ousted. Ghana and Italy qualified from Group E. Good for the nation of Ghana! We really didn't deserve to qualify with our lackluster play.

So today... I had the feeling that Deustchland - Sverige (really awesome match for Podolski and Klose) could had ended with the host winning with a higher score.

Yeah... Heinze deserved it, instead he got a yellow card. And Lavolpe was gonna portest badly...

BTW, Argentina's goal was scored by Borgetti (own goal) and not Crespo, since the tv's crediting Crespo about doing the goal... but I'm not sure yet...

Lol... and after that match, Ronaldo got more goals than Gerd Müller. Gerd had 14, Ronaldo currently has 15 after he scored once at Ghana and twice to Japan this year.

So... Germany beat Argentina on penalty kicks (4-2). The German goalkeeper, Jens Lehmann, stopped Roberto Ayala and Esteban Cambiasso 's shots.

The match had ended 1-1 after 120 minutes. First Roberto Ayala scored for Argentina and later Miroslav Klose tied the score.

I wanted Argentina to win... seems like all the teams I'm supporting during this World Cup end up losing. Perhaps I should support Brazil now...
