2) What's a "pet peeve"?

Something that annoys you. :O

My CL pet peeve is that... uhm. Sometimes the animation inconsistencies make me mad D: ESPECIALLY when they push the up button to go down in the elevator. THAT makes me very mad. I dunno why. xD;

-when they say "Yeah!" when they get on the skate board
-that theres only 3 scanners LOL they need another one
-Sissi and William. Ugh
-when a XANA attack happens almost always when they are at school,and they give a dumb excuse to get out of class

My biggest pet peeve was in the first season when they'd FREQUENTLY end their sentences with "huh?" Like this:

Yumi: Hey, XANA's been pretty quiet lately, huh?

Ulrich: Yeah, I bet he's up to something, huh?

Jeremie: I wonder what it could be, huh?

Odd: Our awkward English is compensating for French animation, huh?

Also how the kids are EXTREMELY submissive to any type of authority even when they're trying to be rebellious or something. Like uh... Yumi. When she was in Principal Delmas' office. She's all like but SIR! No, sir. Yes, sir. >>;;

Hm what else.... I hate how they keep changing what they call things. Like suddenly Roachsters became Kankrelats, Regions became Sectors, and Passage Towers became Way Towers. >>;

Also I hate how useless Odd's powers are. xD; I mean, he doesn't even USE the precognition thing anymore, and the shield quite frankly sucks. xD;

OH YEAH. What is UP with Sissi's outfit?! It's like. Skirt. Over pants. Who WEARS that?! xD;; Silly French people.

Hmm... Oh, one more thing. Their cell phone numbers. It's ALWAYS the same one, and it's not even a possible number! It's 655-255-958. It's missing a number. How do you MISS a number? And then they use it for everyone's cell! D:!!

ALSO (xD This is making it sound like I hate CL or something) Why do they have the RANDOMEST subjects in Science class? It's like one day they're discussing Chemistry, then next Nanotechnology, Physics, and Biology! Is that just how they do it in French boarding schools or what? And then Mrs. Hertz is always writing EQUATIONS. Like y=_____. We have never done that. Ever. And then Jeremie or Aelita will bring up some random theorist and she'd be like oh, of course! Teehee! But then it has NOTHING TO DO WITH SCIENCE!! xD;;

And why don't the teachers ever NOTICE they're all perfectly fine when they ask to go to the infirmiry? It's never "Well you don't look that sick.." it's always "Can I go to the infirmiry?" "OKAY! 8D"

ANYWAY. SISSI'S OUTFIT. It is not a skiirt, it is what I call a USELESS FLAP, or more scientifically a BUTT FLAP. It serves no purpose but to cover her butt.

DON'T FORGET MARINE BIOLOGY!! ...Which goes under biology but shhh. >>;;

y=ax+b is the slope intercept form... o__O; I don't know why they're learning it in SCIENCE class. I learned it in algebra last year.

XANA not even using his full potential. I mean, he can posess people, right? So why doesn't he just possess a politician, or a general, and launch a bomb at Kadic or something? And why not send Tarantulas? Those would kill anyone and anything in their path! also, the Lyoko peoples are way too weak. They get hit four times by one enemy and they get devirtualized!

Other little pet peves...

-Re-used cycles
-How Jeremie has to be there to launch a RTTP in season 2 when it activates automatically in season 1
-The stupid charaters dancing around each other, waiting for the other peoson to make a stupid move
-Cartoon network. 'Nuff said.
-On at same time I have Chess Club
-William
-Lack of explosions
-Michael Jackson and Britney Spears. Not CL, but they won't GO F***ING AWAY!!!
-Odd. He really serves no purpose except to provide another character. The rest of the gang could easily fill his spot.
-CL fanfictions written by the same people who can't spell the word "The," yet think they can write a fanfiction that someone will like.
-Not enough types of monsters.
-I don't own a Krabe. I love Krabes. I'd like to ride around on one...
-Stupid excuses to "Go to the Nurse's office."
-Milly and Tamilla.
-Seasons three, four, and prequel movie are not out yet.
-City of Chicago doesn't allow me to build eighty-foot shrine to the show. Stupid special intrest groups...
-Show only takes place in France. They never go anywhere except the school grounds, the factory, or somewhere in between.
-Crossovers haven't happened yet. I'd make some happen.
-Only one person has a sword. Swords are awesome.
-All weapons are extremely outdated, except for the XANA weapons. They have laser beams.The others have stupid fans, a sword, and arrows.
-Jeremie hasn't perfected the Marabounta program.
-The Digital Sea. Seriously, what's the point of it?
-Jim. He's just annoying to me.

I get really annoyed when they call their cell phones, "mobiles." ARGH!!! It bugs me!!! Can't they just call them cells?!!

And then when they changed the nurse's name from Dorothy to Yolanda. I personally liked her better as a Dorothy. She doesn't really look like a Yolanda kind of person to me.

I hate it when Aelita is all helpless and she starts screaming really weird and like a maniac. Like, "NOOOO!!! JEREMIE!!! PLEASE HELP!!!! *weird scream* SOMEBODY HELP MEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!" Her screaming kind of reminds me of inappropriate stuff. I hate it when she screams!!!

Also, what kind of name is Herve?!!

I agree...and so does Yumi's sometimes...especially in one of the first few episodes..but another thing that annoys me is having to sit there and listen to the teacher go on about stuff..its like ok, make something happen already.

It's French...like Jean, or Pierre, or...Claude. That's why they changed it to Herb in the English version...that's the English equivalent, and the nickname for someone who's full name would be "Herbert". ;D

Now...how come no one's called him, "Herbie"? *snickers* X)

That's what happened with the song "8675-309". People kept calling that number with all the different area codes, and, well...let's just say that if you want a phone number, and like strange calls, it's easily available.

Here are my peevings:

-That Aelita deactivates those towers so SLOWLY.
-The American version does not acknowledge that they are in France. I am surprised that nobody has mentioned this.
-That there isn't a movie yet.

I have been curious as to what the characters sound like with Japanese voices for quite a while.

Oh, here's another peeve. It hasn't been translated into Japanese yet! I want to see Zim in Japanese, and I want to see this in Japanese.

-In S2 Sissy's whole body is wider. And she has more corners.
-On Lyoko Ulrich's eye's are brown, and everybody else's eyes are black. What's up with that?

-Slow motion. I like it in comedy wise but in CodeLyoko? NO.

-The fact that some people think Odd is a freeloader.
-Half of the girls I've seen have their stomach showing. (But compare it to the Winx club and CodeLyoko looks like bandits.

The Life Points. I mean, they get hit once in the leg and they're suddenly devirtualized? Yet in the same episode, another character could have been hit 10 times and STILL be on Lyoko. (I understand with the mega-tank...it takes away around 50 life points, but a Kankrelot taking all 100 in 3 shots? Pah!)

A pet peeve of mine is the way Jeremie gets so overdramatic while they are on Lyoko...hes OMG watch out watch out...and then hes like Aelita watch out watch out...the whole team is like omg we are watching out..and then Jeremie goes..whew...haha.

The one thing that really annoys me is the scene that they insist on using for when Odd exists the scanner. Where he grbs the edge of the scanner and breathes really heavily. It doesn't really bother me that they recycle the scene, but they didn't draw in Odd's eyebrow! It's just a line...not a triangle-like shape. And its been like that since the pilot.

I guess nothing about the show really bothers me... I dont really like Yumi's outfit in the real world. It's a bit plain, and even though I like the color black, there is a limit.

I dont know. That's really the only pet peeve I have.

I was wearing that before I was a CL fan, actually. Maybe that was just popular with my friends, or something, but I think it actually looks really cool.

Obviously I don't know the standard for French numbers, but often European numbers are different length-wise than American ones are. ^^

Hmm... personal pet-peeves?

-Most of the romance scenes really, really irritate me, actually. I like romance, but CL just does it all wrong. xD I also really... hate the music they usually play for those scenes (you know the tune... they played it during Ulrich and Yumi's almost-kiss).

-How over-the-top bratty Sissi was (during the first season, anyway). I don't care what anyone says, but NO ONE is that bad... They didn't need to make her so cruel, honestly, even though they were using her as an all-around-antagonist. They could have done a lot with her character that would have made her even more effective (not to mention interesting) if they'd only be a little creative... ^^;

-When the animators (of the real-world parts) get lazy and don't draw various things (hands especially... often characters wind up with these weird, fingerless blobs instead of actual hands. Arrrg. xD) Ulrich and Yumi also have very bizarre hair... The part of Ulrich's hair that hangs down in his eyes often switches sides (so that you can always see his eyes), and the part in Yumi's hair does the same thing. You can actually catch them very blatently switching sides when they step into the scanners and turn around (I'm not sure if Ulrich's does that, but Yumi's certainly does).

-The little anime-wannabe moments... Sweatdrops, that little sound bit they use when someone's not paying attention in class and then they get in trouble, etc... I just wish they'd stop trying to be anime and do their own thing. They already have a really interesting, unique style, but they choose not to define it and show it off, really... It's weird. o__O

-The fact that some of the FANFIC is better than the actual show...

And etc. Those are the biggest ones for me.
