Who here is planning on seeing X-Men 3? Finally we get to see "Beast"! There is a picture of him in EW. He looks pretty cool. And "Angel" is coming too! This is going to be a pretty sweet movie if I do say so myself.

Bobby Drake's my favourite character, and in the new movie he seems to have broken off from Rogue and is now with Kitty Pryde aka Shadowcat.

And no, still no Gambit - the trailers are all over the net though.

Personally, I think Kelsey Grammer as Beast is perfect casting. He voiced Side-Show Bob in the Simpsons, a man of intellect and culture, and cunning, who'll go nuts anytime. And that’s the Beast wrapped up (from a outside view)

The Beast was intellect... but when The Beast attacks, I can't just picture Kelsey Grammer doing it.

How can you have 3 x-men movies and NOT have Gambit?

The only reason in mind for me is that the movie prodcuers from the 3 movies hate Gambit to death.

Kitty/Nightcrawler actually doesn't work in canon... It works nicely in Evo (I ship it), but while Kitty and Kurt were close friends, they would never work... unless Marvel plans to hit us from the side.

AND OMFG. GAMBIT. I wanted hot Cajun action, g-dd-it! ;_; And this is the last one, too. Oh, well, at least I still have Evo Gambit to fall back on.

See, I'm being good. I could rant and rave about what is WRONG and disgusting and disturbing about X-3 (Callisto! NOOOO!) and the whole franchise, but I won't. I'll be good.

I just came back from the theater. I was really looking forward to this movie but I absolutely hated it. X)

The only parts I liked were the parts with Kitty. She's my favorite from that X-Men Evolution series, and I liked seeing her in "real life."

But really, the movie was horrible. :\

Let me ask you all something, do you think the X-Men creators really ever wanted up to like Cyclops? It's always seemed to me that he was the jock jerk off that stole your girlfriend away in highschool and you wanted desperatly to find something not to like about him but you could and the whole thing just made you bitter. I actually think the mainreason Wolverine is cool is because of Cyclops being a jerk.

Gah I saw some of the reviews it got. Not the best in my book. And in the newspaper they gave it a 5! I haven't seen it yet but let me ask you this. Is it good enough to go out and spend $10 or just wait and rent it?

Just wait and rent it. It's really not that great a movie. I mean, it was alright, but I walked out of the theatre thinking "yeah, that could have been a lot better."

Personally, I really enjoyed this movie. Out of the current big Hollywood blockbusters, this seems to be come out critically best on IMDB. And it's knocked DVC off the box office top spot, and it surpassed its box office predictions. That will work good on Brett Ratner's CV in the future.

My problems are that some mutants like Juggernaut, Shadowcat, Angel, Colossus and Leech (Jimmy) were underused. And Phoenix wasn't used to her full potential (missed the mark by like 10%)

Apart from these issues, I say this is a sequel worthy of the last 2 films, and I pay that 20th Century Fox don’t mess up with the possible continuation of the series.

I dont think this film could be more unfaithful to its origins than it already is.
Except for one or two characters.
Storm was overused, and halle more than over acted. "But are YOU ready, to what YOU need to do when the times come",cheesiest line ever!
But i wont go on about its many faults. It is a good film for newbies to the x men world. and an enjoyable film nonetheless.

I thought the movie was OK. It could have been better, but it could have been a lot worse.

The new characters that they brought in were refreshing, especially seeing Shadowcat. But there are some characters whose non-appearance really makes me mad. I hated not having Nightcrawler or Gambit. They had better decide to make a fourth movie and use more of the characters, they still have a lot of people that haven't made appearances...

And I have to say that I felt really bad for Mystique and Magneto...

In the official game of the movie, it explains where Nightcrawler disappeared. And you can play as him.

Mystique I wasn’t really bothered about. I felt more for Magneto and I even pitied for him. But did you see what he did at the very, very end? SEQUEL HERE WE COME!
