Well, we've already got war and famine. Pestilence... well, if you count AIDS, then I guess we have that too. Death comes from war, famine and AIDS so we already have those signs. This being said, I'm not terribly worried. Remember the Y2K scare? What came out of that? Absolutely nothing, and this is pretty much the same thing.

My bet is that Bush will resign and Cylons will attack.

And about the bible thing...that was written in symbolistic language so the Christian-hunters way back in the day would simply see it as a funny message, not a religious story. While it does predict the coming, it merely gives a symbolistic picture. (Like, the double-edged sword in the man's mouth symbolizes the Word of God, and the four Creatures symbolize the Evangelists.)

I know what happens on this day and it's terrible. My school is given name, there will be a big parade through whole my city, traffic will be stopped, and my school is threatened with visit of education minister(did I told you that half of Poland wants to dismiss him?).


And about the number - 666 is not devil's number, it's human's number. 6 is a symbol of imperfection, and it's written 3 times to emphasize it.
After all, Satan is an angel. And angels are perfect.

I am throwing my lot in with Skipperdee on this one. This is just another day, like the Y2K scare six years ago, and nothing is going to happen. Though I personally think it says a lot about our society that we are all so suspicious of a stupid day on the calendar. If the world didn't plunge into lack-of-electicity induced darkness on Y2K, then the world is not going to come to a crashing halt June 6.

And in afterthought, since the Revelation theory is being thrown around, I would like to point out that 666 is supposedly a Satanic number. If God was going to end the world, why do it on a day with that kind of connotation?

The calendar was a human creation, not a tool of the divine. Remember that. Time has no true measurement, we have simply invented one in an attempt to control something beyond our grasp.

So, in effect, 6/6/06 has no significance in any divinity, but it is simply another day of the year. (I think even 666 was just a human symbolizm)

June 30th, I go party, draw XANA symbols on every screen in the house in order to show him homage so that he may keep my house unexploded, go crazy with the tablet I hope to get, and, of course, discover the joys of Erynnism and cussing without shame in BKO. Yay.
