Ok, since this day is now pretty near, I though that I might discuss it with you guys in order to get you're opinion.
What do you think is going to happen on this day? The apocolypse (sp?), stock market crash.....or President Bush being killed (actually...that would be good). Maybe the terrorists will win...or pie will taste like cardboard.................what do you think?

Hmm - some nut says the Bible predicts a nuclear holocaust in the year 2006 so maybe - fingers crossed that it's wrong.

If anything bad happens on 666, then it will be for the same reason that a lot of people were killed on 911: because the people who planned the act decided that would be a significant date to do it on. I guess we would protect ourselves from stuff like this by giving no numbers any significance whatsoever, but then we wouldn't know when to beef up security... 
So yeah, barring people saying "hey, the day of the Beast. That'd be a good day to detonate a nuke in Seattle." Then... I think we'll be fine.
I saw a funny news article about parents wanting c-sections so their kid won't be born on 666. Yeah, like all the kids born then will be evil. Uh-huh... Or worse, everyone else will be normal, but your kid will be special.

I'm not that worried. I may do something strange on that day... I'm planning on running down my apartment building's hallway laughing manically with a XANA sign on my head.

Listen, people, there's no need to worry about symbolism in the date 06/06/2006. Christians believe that the Rapture could happen at any time. No human is ever going to know about when it's going to happen, and God knows that putting it on that date would be too obvious. Ultimately, you can just be even more confident that absolutely nothing of this type will happen on that date.

I've heard they made a mistake in translating the Bible from Latin to whatever, and it's actually 626. Sooo... that would be the 2nd? Probably not, because not many have heard about it.
