Your are 14. If there is a 'one', you don't find them at 14 and know it yet. End of story.

That's kinda harsh - you get feelings for people at any age (otherwise the hopes and dreams of the UxY, JxA etc. shippers would be groundless) - and though they may not be 'the one', breaking off a relationship can hurt.
The only advice I can say Lyokolover is to go on with your life in the hopes of truly finding 'the one who is just for me' in your own good time.

I have to Disagree, You can always find the one I maybe not at 2 but at 14 it is likely , but by Im or chat room it is hard to tell that person could be but it is best to try to find the one here around you that you know for sure. i also would like to say since you thought she was the one and she wasnt might prove my point. I had a internet realationship never again will i do it.

Who's Shawn? I'm Daniel. Perhaps I was too blunt, but at 14 you have no idea who you truly are yet. I am 22 and still am not fully decided on a lot of things, love being one of them. It's improbable, is all.

true, you may not know everything about yourself, but i think you do know what love is. i fell in love at 15. even though i don't think dating someone online is smart, i think you can get to know someone well online.

But they do exist. I think LF is a prime example for both, actually (I'm 14.. Anyway, this isn't about me. To lyokolover, if you really love her, it shouldn't really matter. And no, 4 years is not a lot but at your age it can seem like it. The best advice I can offer you is to still be friends with her and see where it goes. If you really love each other, your friendships will last and possibly become more. If you're not meant to be, something will happen to show you that. But there's no reason you should feel lonely or stop talking to each other.

Now I'm mostly agreeing with Linii...but...And trying to get on topic.
Here's the thing I understand what he's saying. To a 14-year-old guy, a 10-year-old girl is a little kid, as compared to us, teenagers. And they are really not ready for these kinds of relationships. Heck, a lot of 14-year-olds aren't even ready..

While only four years apart, 10 and 14 have huge maturity gaps. I'm not saying there are no exceptions, nobody come bite my head off because they say I'm sterotyping here. That's just in general, and I can't speak for your situation. I would say considering the fact that you talked to her for a year and just now found out that she is 10 probably means she is pretty mature.

As far as what to do next, I agree with Linii as well. Just keep talking to her as friends.
