I tried so hard, to get where I was, before I fell and lost everything. My name is Yumi Ishiyama. But no one know much about me. And I'm hoping no one will ever find out the secrets I carry, not counting LYOKO and the factory. Other, darker, secrets are kept and must never be told. I'll start from the beginning, I am half wolf, and no one must now that.

It started with me alone, I was able to befriend a pack. I traveled up the ranks to impress the alpha. I was much younger then you think when I was part of the pack. Everyone began to noitice, mainly Tonsa, the alpha. I was on the road to me a top wolf. I had befriended a Wolf named Rain, who is my age. We were great friends as the days passed things where going great, until, things started going down hill, big time.

All I know

Our pack was attacked, and I ran away, for the basic reasons. I left many dying, by I was still young then, and I mean that. The enemy was too strong, too dangerous, and I wouldn't have stood much of a chance anyway. I was, call as a wolf, a pup then. When I returned, I was attacked by the alpha, and disowned. I was left with an X shaped scar on my shoulder. In time, I knew I had to befriend another pack, or I would die.

I tried hard to get where I was but now I had to start from the beginnin and work my way back up again. It doesn't matter how far I got in the past anymore. I have to get back in this game and fight throught this.

I found another, smaller pack. I can remember all of their names perfectly. Hige, Toboe, Tsume, Kiba, Blue. All of them where disowned, and all of them trusted me through the years. I made it far again, and things where going better then ever. i wasn't traveling with people who judged me, people who befriened me.  I wish I could have helped them through the hardest test of my life.

In spite of the way you were mocking me

My older pack attacked. This time, I was older and stronger. I fought through them all, showed them what they threw away along time ago. They killed Toboe first. Then they killed Blue. Hige was badly wounded, and he still fought with me, Kiba, and Tsume. Hige was killed and Tsume soon after. Kiba was killed near the end of the battle. Rain, my old friend was forced to fight me. Near the end of the fight, I remember Tonsa saying:

"Leave her to live. The best pain would be to live with the pain of loss." She commanded the rest of the pack to follow her as she walked away from me. Rain looked back and gave an apolagizing look. I couldn't hate her for what happened.

Nothing mattered at that point, I decided to return to my folks and live along all-humans. That was my only option from then on. I will never have a chance to fight beside my old friends. I started to go to Kadic and live like a normal girl. What's done is done and nothing can change the past. I had to look to the future of a normal girl life. Though I would be much happier with a wolf life.

I pushed myself so hard it hurt. For everyone I had trust in the past. Now that LYOKO exicts, I fight with my new "Pack" even though they are not wolves, and they don't know I'm one, they still are good friends.

Yumi walked through the school yard to where her friends meet up. It seemed like a normal day, XANA, LYOKO, the whole nine yards. Before she walked up to the group, she could smell a familar sent.

Huh? I never picked up a sent like that. Yumi thought. It smelled like dog fur with warm cinnamon. I haven't smelled that since I was a pup. Yumi continued to smell the air.

"What'cha doing?" Odd asked, Yumi turned around to see the rest of the gang behind her.

"Nothing." Yumi said. Note to self, never show anything that might lead to them finding out I'm half wolf. Yumi thought as the sent seemed to get closer. Luckily the bell rang. Yumi waved bye to her friends as she ran to the math building for her next class.

During her math class she could pick up a new sent, this one smelled like Dog fur with vanilla and a slight smell of blood. Followed by a bunch of other sents with blood. Either there where alot of dogs, or wolves. Yumi was hopeing they where dogs. Cause if they where wolves, she would have a big problem on her hands. As the lunch bell rang, Yumi grabbed her text books and ran out the door.

As Yumi walked down the hall, she could smell the dog fur, cinnamon combo. Before she knew it, she was grabbed and pulled into the closet, the door shut behind her, one of the person's hands was covering her mouth while the other was around her torso and arms to keep her from fighting back. Yumi struggled to get free from the person.

"Yumi, calm down, it's me." A voice said, it wasn't Odd's, Ulrich's, Jeremie's or Aelita's. As the person let go of her and turned on the light in the closet, Yumi saw it was a girl with lond blonde hair tied back in a low pony tail, wearing red sneakers, red jeans and a yellow T-shirt with a red jacket over it.

"Rain?" Yumi guessed. The girl nodded. "What the hell was that all about!"

"I needed to talk to you. Tonsa and the others are here, and they are looking for you. I don't know why, but they wanted to bring you more harm then good." Rain said.

"What do they want? They took everything they could from me already! What more is there to take? I have nothing that would mean anything to her or the rest of her damned pack." Yumi said.

"They think you have a new pack." Rain said.

"They are all humans though, none of them are half wolf like you or me." Yumi said.

"I know, but now they say you should have been killed instead of turning into a dog. Being tamed by humans and living an all human life." Rain said.

"Why do they care? I have my life, and they have theirs." Yumi said.

"I don't know what they want, but it's not good." Rain said.

"Why are you telling me this?" Yumi asked.

"Coz, I know you better then they all do. I know you did what you did along time ago was out of fear and that we were younger when you did it. Yumi, you never should have gotten that scar on your shoulder in the first place. It was all a mistake." Rain said.

"Thanks, now I have to meet up with my friends." Yumi said leaving the closet. "Oh, and I can't hate you for what happened in the past."

"Thank you for understanding." Rain said.

Yumi would smell more and more of the strange blood filled sents. It started to burn, smelling a fresh sent like wolf blood. Yumi wondered why Rain would even tell her about the rest of the pack, or how she reconized Yumi. Was it a friend thing, or did she just remember Yumi's domestic sent. Either way, Yumi knew she would have to tell the gang, or they would be killed faster then anything.

"They would think I'm crazy to believe something like that." Yumi said to herself out loud.

"Believe what?" Ulrich's voice asked. Yumi turned around and looked at him for a minute before she could think of a good enough answer.

"Believe, uh, that, uh um" Yumi had to stop and think, really hard. What could she say to him? Nothing sounded OK in her book to draw him away. "Nothing, never mind." Was the only words out of her mouth. Ulrich gave her a strange look.

"You OK, you haven't been acting like yourself." Ulrich said.

"How so?" Yumi asked hopeing he hadn't noiticed too much.

"Well, you skipped lunch, avoided me and the gang, you kept studdering every time we asked you something, never made one crack to Sissi when she made fun of you, talking to yourself, and now you are saying something about me and the gang not believeing you about something." Ulrich finished.

"You noiticed all that?" Yumi asked.

"It's not that hard for me to noitice that you haven't been acting like yourself. Your normally a lot less stressed out." Ulrich said.

"I'm not stressed out, well not a lot anyway. I just have a lot on my mind right now. You wouldn't understand have the problems I have right now. You guys wouldn't believe the trouble I'm in." Yumi said. Ulrich looked at her, confused.

"Mind telling me what your talking about?" Ulrich said.

"Ulrich," The rest of the sentence was murmured to quietly for anyone to her.

"I didn't catch that." Ulrich said. Yumi repeated herself, but again it was too queit. "Yumes you gotta trust me on this, and right now I have no clue what your saying."

"I said, I'm half wolf." Yumi said. Ulrich looked at her in a confused way.

"What? Half Wolf? What does that mean?" Ulrich asked.

"Close your eyes and I'll show you what I mean." Yumi said. Ulrich did what he was told. "Open" Yumi said a few seconds later. When Ulrich opened his eyes, he saw a wolf in front of him as white as snow.

"Yumi?" He asked.

"Yeah, this is what I meant." The wolf said.

"Why did you keep it a secret from me and the others for so long?" Ulrich asked.

"Jeremie knew, nothing escapes a scanner. I made him promise not to tell you all. Odd messed with Jeremie's computer and found out. So you and Aelita where the only ones not clued in." Yumi said as she went back int human form, which took less then a second.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Ulrich asked.

"I was afraid to. Of how you would react. And nothing like this was going to happen." Yumi said.

"Nothing like what?" Ulrich asked.

"A pack is going to attack Kadic because of me." Yumi said.

"What?!" Ulrich asked in shock.

"They where the ones who tried to kill me in the past, and they say I'm a disaster to all wolves. She they are going to attack." Yumi said.

"Did you tell Aelita?" Ulrich said.

"Jeremie's doing it for me. I can't, she has nightmears about wolves. I couldn't do it." Yumi explained as she walked a bit closer. "I never ment to keep it a secret, but it was how I thought no one would get hurt."

"It's OK, I understand." Ulrich said. "But what so we do about this pack attack?"

"I don't know." Yumi said.

Yumi and Ulrich walked back to the school grounds. Yumi kept stopping as if she could hear, smell, something. Everything came together after a howl was heard followed by a bunch of other howls. Yumi grabbed Ulrich by the arm and started to ran through the grounds, faster then Ulrich ever seen.

"What's wrong?!" Ulrich asked as he was pulled over to the empty science room. (It was 7:30 at night) Yumi stopped to smiff the air before jolting in the science building, up the stairs and to the roof. As they reached the roof, Yumi pushed one of the heavy blocks to block the door.

"Yumi, what's wrong?!" Ulrich scold.

"Their coming." Yumi said as a pack of wolves surronded Kadic. One caught Yumi's eye, Tonsa, a brown wolf. She lead the pack.

"Follow her Domestic Scent." Tonsa commanded the pack as they all went into human forms and ran around Kadic.

"This isn't good. There going to kill the others." Yumi said starting to go into full panic. "This never would have happened if they killed me years ago."

"Calm down." Ulrich said but it didn't help.

"I can't all of Kadic is going to find out I'm half wolf. I'll be rejected like all the other times. And more people are going to die!" Yumi started walking back and forth. "They're going to kill everyone! And I'm not strong enough to stop them. Nothing's worth fighting for anymore." Ulrich could see red flash in his vision as he stood up and slapped her across the face.

"Snap out of it! No one's going to die. And what do you mean 'nothing's worth fighting for' huh?! Aren't your friends something to fight for? Am I something to fight for huh?!" Ulrich yelled and then covered his mouth after finishing the last sentence. "Yumi?"

"I needed that." Yumi begain putting a hand up to her cheek. "And yeah you all are worth fighting for, but I can't do it."

"Why can't you?" Ulrich asked at first putting his hand up, Yumi jolted back thinking he was going to slap her again. Instead he just mover her hand so he could look at the damage he had done. Her cheek was a little red, and he was sure it stang, but it wasn't going to leave a bruise.

"Ulrich, for a wolf, I can't kill. I never killed, I have a dog's nature. I'll never kill anything. But that's the biggest weakness I can have. If I don't kill, I'll never make it as a wolf." Yumi said. "I could kill to live, but I can't kill for no reason."

"What do we do about the pack?" Ulrich asked.

"Beware of it." A wolf voice said. The two turned to see a light brown, stocky, wolf. "I have no permission to kill you, Yumi, but I can shake your little friend here up." Yumi was frozen as the wolf ran up, grabbed Ulrich by the back of his shirt and jumped off the roof toward the woods.

"ULRICH!" Yumi yelled as she changed into wolf form and jumped off the building, landing on her feet, and ran after him. She hid herself away in the trees as they reached where Tonsa was. Jeremie, Odd, and Aelita where tied to seporate trees.

"Ulrich, you OK?" Odd asked.

"Yeah fine." Ulrich said as he was tied up.

"Let me go!" A young boy's voice yelled, One of the pack members had Hiroki, and handed him to Tonsa, who had changed into her human form.

"Hiroki, mind telling me where your coward of a sister is hiding?" Tonsa asked but didn't give him a chance to answer. "If she doesn't show up, your life will be the one she pays with." Tonsa said holding up a knife to Hiroki's neck.

"What do you have against Yumi?" Ulrich asked angerly.

"She made a mockery out of my pack. Now I'll make her pay." Tonsa said.

"Didn't I already pay?" Yumi's voice asked as she jumped down from the tree in human form. "You killed Toboe....Hige....Tsume....Kiba....Blue all of them are dead and you want to take more lives?"

"They got in the way before." Tonsa said. "Now be a good dog and don't move."

"If you're such a proud wolf, Why do you go into human form?! Just to kill me?! That's lower then any dog could go!" Yumi said.

"Hold the Hiroki boy." Tonsa told the other girl as she made a move that told Yumi she was going to kill Hiroki. Yumi moved into wolf form and pushed Hiroki out of the way, causing the knife to cut her back.

"You asked for it!" Tonsa said as the wolf got back into wolf form. Both clashing in a bloody battle. Both letting out a fair amount of yips and growls. Blood started to pour out like oil on the grass field. Yumi was able to land a deep bite in Tonsa's back, only to be countered by a bite to her own back, splating blood over Ulrich, sady he was too close to the fight. Aelita looked very frightened, Jeremie and Odd as well. Ulrich showed more of it after he got a bit of the blood. Hiroki was paralized in fright as the battle went on.

"Yumi!" The gang cried out as Yumi was able to hit Tonsa's weakest spot, a deep bite to the stomach as Tonsa jumped up to try and attack her. Tonsa turned and started to retreat with her pack. Yumi got her fair share of bites and scratches. She turned and untied everyone before retreating to human form, her clothes bloody, but not ripped in any way, which suprised the gang.

"That one was for Toboe!" Yumi yelled at Tonsa, who was still in hearing range. Yumi turned to her friends.

"Are you OK?" Aelita asked.

"Yeah." Yumi said. "I have to get home."

"I'll walk you." Ulrich said as he started forward next to Yumi.

"We'll see you tomarrow Yumi." Aelita said and ran for her dorm.

"She's still alittle scared." Jeremie said as he and Odd walked to the boys' dorms. As Ulrich and Yumi started toward her house, Ulrich noiticed Yumi was a bit clumsy on the first few steps.

"Just for the record, Ulrich, when you say 'I'll walk you' it sounds like your talking to a dog." Yumi said.

"OK, I'll try not to make that mistake if it bothers you." Ulrich said.

XANA had copied Yumi's wolf form abilities to the XANAfied William. All he had to do is materialize William in the real world, anf his plan would be finished. All he had to do is make Jeremie think he materialized William, but he will be under XANA's control.

MATIRIALIZE WILLIAM

Jeremie was on his lap top as normal. Odd, Ulrich and Aelita where watching him while Yumi walked up to the group.

"Hey guys." Yumi greeted casually.

"Hey Yumi." Aelita greeted. Jeremie was typing a mile a minute.

"No way!" Jeremie said. "William's matiralizing."

"That is strange." Odd said. "But so am I!"

"Mabe the last things I typed where the code to bring William back to the real world out of XANA's control. Or it could be a trap, but why would William back to the real world?" Jeremie said. The rest of the group looked at him. "We should head to the factory."

"You guys go, I have a major history test." Yumi said as she headed off to the classroom.

"We'll text you if anything comes up." Ulrich said.

"OK." Yumi called back. The others raced to the factory. The scanner was open, but no one was in it. Jeremie headed up to the computer room.

"William was definitly matirialized. He might have headed to Kadic." Jeremie said. "We should deprogram the clone when we have to chance."

Jeremie stayed behind while the others headed to class. He knew something wasn't right about the materialazation prosses. It didn't take him long to find out that XANA copied Yumi's wolf form data from the super computer.

"I have to worn the others." Jeremie said as he ran out of the factory and toward the lunch room where the others where. "Guys, XANA got into the files and copied Yumi's wolf DNA into William before he released him."

"So he's still working for XANA." Ulrich said.

"Yeah, and now he has the power to do it." Jeremie said. "Unless Yumi can bring him down. Which wont be easy."

"I may not be able to bring him down, but I can delay him." Yumi said.

"That could be all we need." Jeremie said. "If this was a normal attack, but this attack has something to do with bringing William down. If we can't do that, XANA will get what he wants."

"When you say we, you mean me right." Yumi asked.

"Your the wolf." Jeremie said. "We don't stand a chance."

"You could at least try." Yumi said as she took offence to his earlier coment. Jeremie just looked at her and then back at his tray. "I'm done." Yumi said pushing the tray to Odd. She stood up and left the mess hall. She caught sight of Hiroki sitting on the roof of the dorm.

"Hiroki, what are you doing up there?" Yumi asked.

"You can see our house from here!" Hiroki called.

"Hiroki get down your going to get hurt." Yumi called back up. As a black figure moved swiftly across the roof, knocking Hiroki off. "HIROKI!" Yumi yelled as she jumped and caught him in her arms, making her fly backward.

"Yumi, are you OK?" The gang raced out. On top of the building was a black fured wolf with red eyes that flashed the eye of XANA.

"XANA's new creation." Jeremie said. "Looks as evil as ever." The wolf looked over at Aelita.

"Aelita, come with me, now." The Wolf William called from the top of the roof. He jumped down, only to be talked in mid-air by Yumi, how had gone into wolf form as well. William moved in a way that he use Yumi as a cusion for his fall by forceing her to land on her back with him on top of him. Blood come out of her mouth as they landed and she let out a yip. William then put a paw in her neck, ready to finish her off. But as he bend down to bite her, a golden furred wolf tackled him to the side.

"Rain?" Yumi asked.

"Yeah, are you ok?" Rain asked.

"Yeah, thanks to you." Yumi said as she got back to her four paws. "You guys head for LYOKO!"

"I'm staying." Ulrich said as Jeremie, Odd, and Aelita headed off. William takled Rain against the walls of the school, biting her shoulder, blood splating on the wall of the school. Yumi tried to make him let go by biting William in the back, but something wasn't right, he wasn't bleeding. It was a deep enough bite.

"I'm sorry, did you want me to bleed?" William asked sarcastily countering her bite with a deep bite of his own in her torso. Splatting blood all over the ground. Useing his paw to pin her to the ground he deepined his teeth into her torso while his claws dag into her thigh. Yumi countered with a bite to his front leg, he pulled away as she let go. He took a few steps toward Ulrich before Yumi jumped in the way.

"Leave him alone." Yumi warned through her teeth. All of a sudden a red energy went through the William Wolf and he disappeared. Yumi returned to human form and fell to the ground.

"Yumi." Ulrich said as he kneeled next to her. She looked over to Rain, who was trying to get back to her feet. Yumi tried to get back to her feet, she had to lean on Ulrich to keep her balance.

"Lets get out of here." Ulrich said.

"We can't leave Rain here, she'll die of blood loss." Yumi said.

"So will you if you don't have the bites looked at." Ulrich said. Yumi turned back to Rain.

"She doesn't desurve to die." Yumi said. "The other pack wont come for her."

"OK, I'll call up Odd and he'll come and get Rain." Ulrich said taking out his cell and gave Odd the message.

"I still want to stay here until Odd comes for Rain." Yumi said. Ulrich noded and helped Yumi walk over to where Rain was. She had gone back into human form.

"You know, Yumi, you and Toboe where the ones who loved humans and no one could tell why, but when I followed you and your pack and you all took me in, I really enjoyed it until Tonsa came and ruined everything." Rain said looking up at Yumi. "Toboe was a playful and powerful pup, Tsume was like an older brother, Kiba was a born leader, Blue was a loyal friend, Hige was a brave friend." Rain looked over at Yumi.

"You liked Hige didn't you?" Rain said a bit of tease in her voice. The truth was Yumi had gone head over heels for that wolf and she still had feelings for Hige, even though he was dead. They where boyfriend and girlfriend before he was killed. Yumi looked over at Ulrich, who was giving her a questioning look.

"I'll tell you later." Yumi said. "I promise."

"Guys!" Odd's voice called. The three looked up to see Odd running there way.

Rain looked back at Yumi and her friends.

"You sure you don't want to come, Yumi?" Rain asked.

"No thanks. I have my friends here." Yumi said as she smiled at her friends. "In some ways, I have my pack right here."

"Yumi, I need to ask, do you like these guys as pack members or do you think of them like company like a dog would consiter them?" Rain asked.

"They are my friends, my pack." Yumi said. The rest of the gang liked the fact that Yumi could like then even though she was part wolf. Rain waved a good-bye.

"If you ever do change your mind, just howl. If you need anything, howl." Rain said as she went into wolf form and ran into the woods. Yumi turned to Ulrich, as the others went back to the dorms, Yumi pulled Ulrich into the woods.

"Ulrich, you know they guy Rain mentioned, Hige?" Yumi asked.

"Yeah." Ulrich said.

"The truth is, I used to really like him before he died. When I said we could only be friends, it was because of three things. One I was a half wolf and you all didn't know yet. Two, I didn't want to end up like my parents. Three, my heart still hurt from when Hige died. I didn't tell you about him because I thought you would be angry with me if I said something." Yumi said.

"Yumes, I'm not angry with you. I understand if your heart still hurt from an old crush, all girls have that. I understand you didn't want to be like your parents, and that you are half wolf." Ulrich said.

"You do?" Yumi asked.

"Sure." Ulrich said. Yumi didn't know how to react. She thought he would be very angry with her. Ulrich took a step closer to her until they where centimeters apart. He closed the gap between them and gave her the kiss that she had been waiting for years to get. As they broke the kiss, they both needed air, it started to rain.

"Lets get back to Kadic before we both are soaked." Yumi said. Ulrich agreed with a puppy face. "We can kiss there if you can get Odd out of your dorm."

"Yeah!" Ulrich chreered, Yumi giggled as he started to hurry to the dorms with her hand in his.
