What do you think was going on inside Jim's mind during the events that unfolded in "Code: Earth"?

This could actually just go in Episode Discussion, as it is a specific wuestion about a specific episode.

But on question, I think Jim had a whole season of near misses, and finally felt he had a break. The actions of the gang, above all else, weigh on his concience. He wants to be respected, and to do that, he needs to do well at his job. To do that, Jim feels he needs to go above and beyond what is normally called for - in this case, keeping close tabs on suspicious activities. His error was not making his intentions known earlier on to the higher-ups (Principal Delmas). He needed concrete evidence he did not hjave before undertaking what eventually got his "fired." Jim is inherently a good person, but one situation, and his own professional future, clouded that.

I think he was thinking something ... oh... I can't put it into words right now. It involvs the words "finally" and ... something else... Do you kinda get what I mean, though?

StoneCreek's right...this could have been brought up as part of the "Code Earth" thread in Episode Discussion...but I can't seem to find one for "Code Earth" so I hope no one minds if I just edit the title of this a little, and make it our official "Code Earth" thread for all discussion of that episode.

As far as episodes go, this was a pretty good one. To put into words what Jim might of been thinking in this episode, I would think it would be that he's actually concerned about what happens to the students and is just curious about Team Lyoko's activities.

IAs far as episodes go, this was a pretty good one. To put into words what Jim might of been thinking in this episode, I would think it would be that he's actually concerned about what happens to the students and is just curious about Team Lyoko's activities.

It's a part of his job. If something happens to a student, he's one of the first to give an answer and report the principal about it.

During Season 1, Jim has grown some sort of particular focus just to figure out what was with Jeremie and his gang doing during their free time, given their absence from Kadic at times (off-screen, also there's a reference of dealing with XANA everyday as Ulrich said in "Routine"). If Jim could had succeded into figuring out the secret and not getting fired from Kadic (and also not injuring Jeremie's leg), there could be a possibility for Jim reacting in a different way than he did when he got fired. Maybe helping them out or to believe it's a lie (until he sees real proof) and report the kids to the principal (leading to other events). The idea about Lyoko to many people aside from the main cast is most likely an unbelieveable or impossible concept, until real proof is seen.

KFan of Code WIKI totally disagrees with me. He says that Jim dislikes Team Lyoko and could care less about Lyoko and XANA.

Though it's not one of my favorites I was happy to see that Jim was more then willing to help out any time he was asked. It shows that he does care for the Lyoko gang and is more the willing to go above and beyond. So it made me respect Jim a little bit more. I really thought that he was just a gym teacher with some head damage.

I think... my favorite part of this ep was "BREAK BREAK BREAKDAAAANCE!" Cause for some reason it always manages to scare people. And then I laugh at them. (Heck, I'm even laughing thinking about it) xDD;
