Okay my sister just sent me a link to this yahoo news page and it simply shocks me, what's more is neither of the parents believe that anything was wrong and that the police officer was in the wrong.

Now for those that are to lazy to go there a 6 year old in kindergarten was sent to the principles office after pushing two students, while in the office "The report says Johnson knocked over a shelf that injured the principal.
Johnson also was reportedly biting a doorknob and attempting to break a glass frame while jumping on top of a paper shredder."

Her mother says "She has mood swings some days, which all of us had mood swings some days" while the father claims the police had no right to handcuff a kindergartner.

What is this earth coming to where our children our literally screaming for attention and still don't get any? (Also to the point our children are biting door knobs!!?!)

Sadly, a smaller kid with this sort of anger/ destructive issues isn't that uncommon. I work in child care, and I have seen many a very violent, rather frightening temper tantrum from more than a few. They scream, they kick, they bite... One time I saw a tiny little kindergardner have to be carried to class by the principle, but he swung out of her arms, bit her twice on the arm, kicked her, called her an old hag, and ran off.
No lie.
Although....none of them as I have seen have toppled that much furnitature as the kid in the article. ^^;

I posted that link to Reddit. Didn't net me too many upvotes, however...

I was horrified when I read it. They probably could have restrained the kid without handcuffs, but that was really taking it too far. Giving the kid a criminal writeup didn't really help either.
