Pokémon Black and White 2

Game Freak has been very unpredictable lately... first they announce a Pokémon strategy RPG set in medieval Japan, and now they announce, instead of the traditional "third version"... another pair of games. Which from the title, implies that they'll be continuing the plot from Black and White.
(yeah, the cool links in my old sig died. :( A few nerdy newish projects are here. )

I'm quite honestly extremely surprised that it's for the DS, and not the 3DS. I hear there will be "enhancements" for the 3DS and the DSi, but I don't think they'll be too substantial.

I got this a day before launch, and it's pretty good so far. I have to say that I hated trying to find a Riolu, though. After literally about an hour and a half of searching in Floceesy Ranch, I finally got one and spent about four Poke Balls trying to catch it. Stupid 5% encounter rate...

Huh. How are you hunting for it? When in hunting mode, there is no shame running from battles...

Liking the game so far. You get a LOT more mon choices.

It was a mix of finding dozens of Mareep in a row and running because I didn't want to be paralyzed, grinding my underleveled team members, and cursing at the game.

I really like both the new 'mon choices, and I also like their approach of starting out with some of the new content and moving to the older areas. It gives it a much different feel than other games, most similarly to Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness.

Finally bought my version yesterday. Absolutely love it so far. The new developments and the pokemon available are making me a very happy bunny. :D

However, I've spent three hours trying to catch an Eevee. Grrrr.
