Six year old able to be sued

If you are to lazy to go and read it, a four year old accidently hit an elderly lady while riding her bike(which had training wheels) the woman needed some surgery because of the fall she had when hit with the bike and died a few years later (now that the girl is six, she hit the woman when she was four) and they are now suing the child.

Incredibly stupid. Why sue the child when you can sue the parents? They're the ones that gotta pay for it anyway.
