And it sucked, like most things with Tim Burton's name on it.

One thing saved it though, Toby. The only character in the movie who was Pathetic/Stalker/Dillusional/Sciopathic and above all else wasn't emo. Sure had a rough life like the rest of them, but he was a man about it and drowned his sorrows in booze. And in the end, ends up killing that emo schmuck Sweeny.

Toby is one bad *ss mother-------

Gah, sorry... I ignore parenthesis... And quit callin' me sweetheart.

But anyways, was it really that bad? I think that maybe Tim Burton should stick to stop motion animation... I'm interested how he does a live action movie. I know he almost did a Superman Movie...

Depends. If you liked his other work you'll like this.

I will say this, it was a musical. If for nothing else, I loved it because I'm a sucker for musicals... and Toby. Toby kicked *ss.

Honestly, I thought this was a great movie. ;) Not only because I'm a Tim Burton freak, but that it was unique. I was unfortunate never to see the Broadway version, though. :no:

Too bad I'm only 16. I wanted to see "Sweeney Todd".

I still get to watch "Blazing Saddles".

I thought it was just plain sick, I was almost gagging by the end of it. It was wrong and sick, and evil, that is the last time I want to ever see a movie like that again. I like Tim Burton but this one just dropped him down to number five on my list of favorite directors. There was way too much throat slashing.

I *_* Blazing Saddles, and Young Frankenstine...

whoa whoa whoa whoa.

This movie made you hate Burton? Not Batman, Not TNBC, but Sweeney Todd?

There was way to much throat slashing for a movie about a sociopathic barber bent on revenge?

Sorry Piper, No I don't hate Tim Burton I hate the movie, it made me sick and nauseous, I am still getting over it. But no I did not like that move one bit. Oh and the blood looked more like paint, rather unrealistic. This is just my opinion but I disliked it.

I'm interested in seeing it, if only because it's a Tim Burton film (whose films I actually do like), and because the cast is so interesting. I will admit to being a bit of a Johnny Depp fan, and I like following movies that Helena Bonham Carter and Allan Rickman are in, so...I may just see this one.

Thankfully, I'm familiar with the plot of Sweeny Todd from the original musical...as well as Burton's love for gore (thank you, "Sleepy Hollow"). ^^; No popcorn for me on this one. O.o;

But it was about a serial killer, so what do you expect? :umm: Not trying to be rude or anything; just sayin'.
