So... what instrument do you good people play? How long have you played? Do you play in an ensemble, and if so what kind? Your current repetoire? (however that's spelt... xD; )

Anywaaaay... I play violin and piano. I've been playing violin for like eight years now and piano about... five. But I seriously SUCK at piano since a) I'm lazy, and b) I have really bad coordination. Anyway... I play in two orchestras for violin; one in school, one outside of school. I also play in a quartet at school... so yay. Right now in orchestra at school, we're playing Beethoven's fifth symphony, outside of school we're playing lotsa stuff... Procession of the Nobles, Schubert's 8th unfinished symphony, and lots of other stuff I'm too lazy to go look through at the moment. Errr... for piano, I dunno, it's some sonata that I'm currently sucking at. But I kinda look around on the internets and if I see sheet music for a song I know, I go "8D! HAY, I KNOW THAT SONG!" and I print it, and learn it. It's all mostly Tales of Symphonia music, copters. And since I like never practice my teacher gets mad at me. >>;

Oh, and out of curiosity, has anyone ever been to Interlochen before...? Just wondering~

Well I've been playing the piano for 6-7 years now. I'm not bad at it. My last NYSSMA test scores for Level VI was a 98 out of a 100. Right now I just finished playing in our school's JH Jazz Ensemble. I'm currently playing one of Beethoven's easier sonatas...I believe the A minor one and Schumans (sp?) songs from Scenes from Childhood.

I've also played the French Horn for 3 years now and I'm okay with it. I'm in our school's JH Band and I'm 4th chair out of like 9 people. xDD

And that's my very exciting music career.

I bet you didn't have a messed up piano where you couldn't play for a difference of forte and piano becuase if you pounded too hard for forte it came out to like no sound and if you played to soft...it also came out to no sound...That was like the worst piano ever.

And for this topic's sake... I used to play drums when I was at school. At my new apartment, I now have enough space to put the drums... but the noise I'd make would get neighbors complaining...

Whoa me too. To the clarinet and not practicing thing. Only don't tell my teacher, because she is under the illusion that I practice for at least 90 minutes a week, as that is what I put on my practice sheet time log thing. My talents at clarinet... like I said, I rarely practice, unless you count the actual class as practicing, but no one else practices either, so... I guess that makes me about average?

I am best at flute and guitar and sax. I like to try everything. I've played flute for 6 years, sax for 4 years, and guitar for 2 years.

I don't think playing the piano for two months really counts. If my parents had FOUND ME a tutor when I was 6 like they planned, I wouldn't be a non-muscial moron. *grunt* Still, I've got my prep test in November.

I play a bit of the recorder as well. Have been for three years, forced to for three years. Stupid grade school.

I've played the piano since I was seven and totally suck at it. I'm actually pretty good when I practice... just, usually I don't care 'cause we get really boring music.

MY BAND CAN KICK YOUR GUYS'S BANDS BUTTS. Everyone thinks we're really good (I think Mr. Smith would kill himself if we got below a second at state), and everyone who's actually in the band thinks we suck.

I, for a fact, *know* that I suck, but that is only because I've only played bells for about two years (I played them for a year in sixth grade and now I've picked them up again to have an excuse to be in band). I suck, but I'm better than Cara and Mandy, so that's good enough for me.

I guess I play an instrument, if my voice counts.I tried to play the flute, didn't work. Then the trumpet. Still didn't. So I switched to chorus in sixth grade and had a straight a- in the class ever since (Because of a problem with grading, it's impossible to get a perfect 100, so mine's the best grade!

I also want to play bass guitar, something to contrast my screethy voice.

I used to play the piano..I dropped it because I never really wanted to play it in the first place and I really didn't enjoy it at all. I do thing though, if that counts ^^;
