Earthquake felt in parts of Britain

The strongest earthquake to hit Britain in more than two decades was felt across large parts of the country early Wednesday, officials said. Some homes had minor damage but there were no reports of injuries.

I'm assuming that UK isn't really used to having big earthquakes, but it's good to hear that there are no casualties. That's the most important.

Being a Californian myself, a 5.0-ish magnitude earthquake is basically "peanuts" to us. If you're talking 6.5-7.0+ magnitude, then you'll surely be guaranteed a major disaster.
