Hey everybody! I haven't been online for a while. Right now I'm at the Los Alamos National Laboratory down in New Mexico as a member of Earthwatch 2007, getting Jeremified about astrophysics. My head hurts, but it has been super nuclear. There is even a guy named Jim that works up at the Fenton Hill Observatory. "I didn't know you worked at an observatory, Jim." "I'd rather not talk about it." We even have midnight excursions to play cards in another room with the other members. It feels like escaping to the factory. Everytime we go to the Canyon School Complex (I have security clearence. You betta' recognize!) I think to myself, "To the factory!" There have been some computer related problems lately (MAC OS9's: It's not stupid, it's advaaaaaaanced), and after investigating, I have concluded that it is being caused by a sentient malevolent artificial intelligence gone rogue. One of the scientists looks like Dr. Kleiner from Half Life 2, and I got to see the actual Black Mesa near Los Alamos. Though I am having a blast tracking 9 Metis (asteroid) through the most amazing sky, I miss my fellow freaks. I hope you are all having a great summer, and I will be back in approximately one week.
