Forum Wide Poll: New Sub-Forums?

Postby Mewberries151 » Tue Aug 18, 2009 11:26 pm

In an effort to encourage some more activity here, the suggestion of a new sub-forum (like GD, Tech, or Rant) has come up.

The suggested idea had a new Sub-Forum centered around Animation and Cartoons in general. The question is, would the rest of you want to see something like this?

If not, what would you like to see? A sub-forum based on Movies? Maybe books? ...Or perhaps Comics or TV Shows?

Please post an opinion, a suggestion...anything, just let us know what you think, and please do vote in the poll as well if you can. ^^

We really need to hear from all of you on this one. 8)

Being a forum focused upon a cartoon, I think it'd make sense for Lyokofreak to have an animation/cartoon subforum. The video game / TV show subforums are nice ideas too. I think books and other topics could stay in General Discussion, but that's just me.
thank you all for the good memories <3

As well as agreeing with what Fraxtil said, cartoon threads seem to be more commonly made in GD than other threads, so they're clearly a popular subject. That kind of subforum would be a good idea.

I'd rather have no additional forums added.

You run the risk of having a bunch of near-empty boards, which can actually work against the overall activity of the site. I think a new visitor would be more inclined to sign up if they saw a few busy subforums as opposed to two dozen empty ones!

Well, as far as I can tell, there are more current and still running anime's and cartoons that could definitely create some discussion. Everything gets lost or overlooked in General. So I think a new cartoon/anime subforum would generate some new activity.

A cartoon/anime subboard would be cool, plenty of good shows to talk about.

All the options on the poll could be easily done in one sub-forum: Sports & Media Entertainment. Yeah, I'm adding the Sports part... that could help LF a bit more.

My two cents.

I also agree with the subforum on cartoons/animation. Other than that, however, I tend to agree with ccbtimewiz (I can't think of my own opinions, apparently); such things as movies or books can and are discussed on GD without much difficulty. We don't want to spread ourselves thin and look like a ghost forum.
