Editing persay does not do it. However, making a new post with the text of your original and then adding your Edit to the bottom will. You then just need to delete your original post afterwards, and voila! One post complete with notification.

However, in some sub-forums, post deletion is Mod/Admin only, so this doesn't always work. You should still just Edit your post instead then unless there is a pressing, and I mean, pressing, reason for you to make a double post.

Might I also suggest PM? Especially since you're just talking with SithKing here, PM is a great way to send a single person notification as immediately as possible, and without making a double-post.

How could we though? We'd need the admin to give us the server. It would be weird to have the forums at one domain and the information at the other.

I'm not 100% on this anymore because I don't have much experience maintaining "website" websites, but I believe both the website and the forum are on the same domain/server space and are maintained by the same person. I'll ask though, as there was some confusion about that earlier on in this thread and the question never really got answered due to various people being busy. *sweatdrops*
