TL (by which I mean my brother, not Techlinks forums) suggested our registration sequence include one of those letter sequence images you have to copy into a box, which is impossible for an automated spambot - is that possible on our hosting?

I posted this on the spambots thread already, but there's a forum where, in the contract you have to read before you can register, there's a well-hidden sentence randomly placed in the middle that says "The password is AOWITDSV" or something like that and in the confirmation box you have to type the password from that sentence rather than what the tells you to type.

There are a lot of people who don't even know what a forum is and just register and never post. They don't even know why they registered; all they know is that for some reason they have an account on some site.

I think the problem is the way people react to spambots. They reply to them as if it will make the bot Cry...

It's spam. Just report it to the Spam Bot thread and leave it. No need to spaz over it.
