Yeah, all the posts will be deleted because phpBB3 is considered a new software. It's not something that can be upgraded.

That's not it; this should be the register page: http://www.lyokofreak.net/forum/profile.php?mode=register. Also, you can't delete the register page because there is no register page. If you look at the url, you can see that there's a question mark (?) after "profile.php." The "mode=register" after the question mark is a variable, meaning that the register page is really the profile page, and the words you see are displayed only when the variable "mode" equals "register."

This makes me wonder, will the post types be changed? Like 0-50 is starting, and finished is 2000, it will be 1500 or something becasu it's new?

Wait, I think it said somewhere on the phpBB site that any forum can be switched to one of the phpBB scripts while retaining all members, posts, and configurations compatible with that script. Or, maybe I'm wrong, and the whole LyokoFreak network will crash as a result of the attempt to change scripts all because of my one lousy post, and all seven hundred members of this forum will hate me for my actions...

I don't know; I'll check (maybe, if I remember to).

I very much doubt everything will go when we upgrade. Installing the new forum software doesn't have much effect over the database, which is where user accounts, posts, forums, private messages, etc are stored. The forum software just makes that information user-friendly. (To those of you who know more about this than I do, please don't yell at me... I'm not trying to sound like I know what I'm talking about, but that's the way I understand it. ^^)

Anyway, what I said above about the whole forum being wiped once we upgrade was a joke, like the fine print said. Don't worry.

Actually, subforums are a bit different.
"Site stuff" is a category, which groups forums together. Inside of a forum are posts. You can't post in a category. However, subforums are different because they are inside of regular boards. Like when you click into "Site Discussion," there could be three more forums at the top for, let's say, "LyokoFreak Discussion," "Forum Discussion," and "StarSummit Discussion." Under those three subforums are the topics that go under just "Site Discussion." Was that confusing?

its kinda like a book...a book has chapters right...well those chapters would be similar to sub forums...you can access each one without messing up the rest ya see..

After checking things out, I realize the mistake that I had made with that. I'm an administrator over on another phpBB site that employs several subforums. All-in-all, it has over 100 forums, most of them subforums. I got confused with my comparison of that site with this one. Thanks for the correction!
