This first bit of information you may be a little bit angry at me for, and I'm sorry. However, due to the large number of people who use ridiculously large avatars here, LF no longer supports remote linking. If you do not wish to use a gallery avatar, you may upload one as long as it's dimentions are 100x100 (or below) and the file size is under 50 KB.

Secondly, there is a new default style at LF, which you may turn on or off as you please. The Christmas style and original Avalanche style are also still available.

Oh, so that's why Ruud was gone... okay, I know you're used to LJ style icons... so I'll do my best and find myself something new. I knew this was coming... *coughPhotoshopTutorialcough*

I'm not so happy about the avatar rule because I really have trouble cropping and resizing pictures to fit but I'll live by it - pity as well, since I liked my old Odd avatar. No hard feelings though Erynn? :)

Haha, well, I was expecting people to be unhappy with the new rule, but it really needed to happen. Sorry guys. I'm just sick and tired of people uploading 300px icons. >_O

Anyway, be happy that I changed the KB limit to 50; originally it was like 6. :P

I use the program that came with my scanner to resize things: HP Photo & Imaging. Just adapt the pixels to 100x100. That works for me.

And I'm not single.

I use GIMP inder resize image or Adobe Photoshow LE. Then 100X100. But sometimes, if it's an irregular shape, like a rectangle, then when you do 100 on one and then click on the other, it automatically scales it. Otherwise, if it'll be all scrunched up.

The problem I have is that I can't resize pictures easily - the only programs I have for that are Microsoft Word and Paint.

Paint's fault is that it can't shrink the image, only chop bits off.

Word can shrink it, but only gives dimensions in centimeters rather than pixels - trying to make it all work gives me a headache. I also have trouble uploading pictures from wo

Anyone know how many pixels there are to a cm?

Sorry if I sound like I'm whining - I've had a stressful day (we threw a New Year's Party for about 20 people).

All depends on the monitor sizes. And how many pixel in each.

MSPaint *can* shrink an image. Just use the "Stretch/Skew" function and select horizontal and vertical stretch percentages that will bring the image to 100 x 100 pixels

I guess I can't use the image Doggiegal let me link to anymore. When I get around to it, I'll upload one of mine.

I think all of those who used avatars that weren't from LF were removed. And I do remember you had a very green avatar that kinda reminded me of Matrix.
