Forum Downtime

Postby Star Way » Sun Jan 01, 2006 3:15 pm

Starting at 2:30, the LF forum will be down for upgrades. Downtime shouldn't last long, though I can't give an exact time frame.
Don't bother sending me messages or anything, I'm not in charge of the site anymore.

But I do love dancing.

All done. :)

According to the email I recieved, this version of the forum software has a new feature which limits the number of times a person can attempt to log into their account.

I could post fine...

Weird. And it's good there's only a certain number of times allowed to log on, very useful for security.

It's upgrade time again. ^^

At 3:35 EST the forum will close.

Downtime shouldn't last long, as usual.

Edit: All done!

It appears that quoting is not working correctly...Could it have something to do with the upgrade done today?

^^; I was just going to ask about that as well...I was afraid it was something only my PC was doing. O.O

Perhaps it's an error in the BB Code...does <i>HTML</i> work at all?

Edit Okay...I guess it's just quotes then... ^^

EDIT: Aha!!! Now we've got it figured out. The only problem would be for those wanting to use the strikeout tag along with a quote.
not gonna bother coming back

I definately won't call this figured out. We need it back to normal.

Well, it's figured out for the moment... But yeah, having it back to normal is rather preferable...

So wait...all I have to do is disable my ability to use HTML?

Sweet! ^.^

That's very strange. I have no doubt this issue came up as a result of the upgrade; why, I don't know. I'll check out the PhpBB website and see what's going on.

I think there was a forum downtime from x:yz pm to 6:20 pm today, I guess. When I logged on a few minutes ago, no one was online and the last new message was posted at 5:38pm, IIRC.

The quotes are still not working yet, so when you wanna quote, you have to click on "Disable the HTML in this post".

I am not sure if this is related, but whenever I post a reply to some threads, the "Disable HTML in this post" box is checked, and sometimes it's not. (I didn't disable HTML in my profile though) And also I just received an email telling me a reply was made to a thread when I definately didn't check that box to notify me.
