Yep.. and now we got the VA threads into another forum. My optional suggestions are:

1) Make it hidden.
2) You're forgetting one VA: Allan Wegner. He plays Sissi's father. And just in case, someone should make him a thread.

After my recent experiences I had a moment of panic as well.

Nice new VA board Starway - and Rodri might be onto an idea with hiding it - I'm not wholly sure myself.

Good point. But I do somehow think of the idea of having the VA board hidden and once a new member reaches a certain amount of posts and other requisits, they can access to this board, just like with BKO. But your choice anyways.

And someone make the Allan Wenger thread, just in case he might arrive.

I think Starway it's better to have a single thread per actor now I've seen the new setup - will they really want to go trawling through multiple threads to answer people's questions?

And the current setup has a nice communal feel to it.

The problem is that the old setup meant lots and lots of unnecessary posts and etc. We'll see how this goes for a while, and if it doesn't work we'll find another way to work things.

One other suggestion I have is giving the VAs moderator power in the VA forum - is that even possible?

Ah well - I look forward to seeing how this works out - another advantage is that they could avoid threads started by a certain 'excited' someone.

EDIT: I've just started a new question thread for the VAs and it's pushing their threads down - you might want to sticky them.

Bravo, not many administrators update their software for security patches. While I admit this was one, if not the only area that I thought you to be weak in, I have to say that I am quite impressed. You've got the makings of a real hacker.

I've been doing some thinking about the new forum (this comes from your feedback on it too) and I think I may change things a bit.

We'll have one thread per VA again, but keep them in their own forum like they are now. That way the search tool would still work well, and there would be no confusion about how to post questions/etc since you're all used to it that way.

How does that sound?

Edit: I'm not sure what to do with the user-created threads in that forum though. xD Since there are so few, I was thinking maybe just delete, but I don't know... Your opinions?

You could delete mine as far as I'm concerned.

My one bit of advice would be to PM the VAs and ask what system they prefer as it is their section of the forum.

To avoid spam, and to make people stop making pointless posts Taelia-style (sorry, but you're the first reference in mind), stop fic-advertising and to stop repetitive questions (for that, to use the Search tool and to avoid making some old question). For that, read the VA's Room Rules if it helps.

So let me rephrase the question. If you are going to have it like it was before, with one thread per VA then why did you lock it? Maybe I misread something but I though you said that you were also going to leave the VA forum with only the individual threads.

Leave them be. Or merge them into a "To All VA's" thread.
