Except it...doesn't usually work like that. Most of the time, a guardian is someone who will take care of you if you are left with "no immediate family". Mr. Delmas is still alive and well, and we can assume she may have a mom somewhere too.

At best, Jim could be appointed a "godfather", (no, not the mafia kind), but that'd be largely dependent on Sissi and her family's religion/beliefs.

If I said anything back then I have no idea what I was thinking. I am also fairly certain that it is just student/teacher.

I'm assuming what I was saying over 4 years ago was that the season was short enough for something like that to happen.
