New CL Powerpoint.

Postby SearchingLyoko » Mon Jan 18, 2010 10:43 pm

I'm not sure if anyone's seen this, but:

http://www.moonscoop.com/files/FREE/CL% ... ule%5D.pdf

This was made near the end of August, which means that they've done stuff after I found out about CL!

Yes!

Comments? Questions? Theories?

I personally think we should really start to nudge (politely) MoonScoop as Aqua said to show them that we want this.

*Calls the CodeLyokoUnited team and tells them to start getting a move on.*

EDIT:

HOLY FREAKY KANKRELATS!

XND Just pointed me to the BEST news EVER!

On page 18 of the powerpoint, MoonScoop says the MMORPG has a TWO MILLION DOLLAR BUDGET.

This is good... this is very good

Are you sure this is the correct link? It's not loading for me. I'll try again as soon as I can, but try as i might, it won't. Are there supposed to be spaces in teh URL? Could you perhaps say how to get to it on the site?

Or is this the same PDF we've been seeing?

Oh and TWO MILLION? That's...wow.

HOLY-
CL got GREAT ratings. I knew it got good ones, but damn.. It beat Disney Channel? CN is almost never able to do that now.

Psst.. CN. Here's a good idea. Air CL again.

Also... It said there was worldwide plans for the CL Novels YES

The MMORPG.. do want.

This show is for sure not over.
If only someone could tell Wikipedia that. :/

Ay, on topic, gentlemen.

It just loaded like you said, so I'm going to look through it and put observations as little paragraphs.

Okay, this isn't the other thing. It's a new other thing! Yay!

97 half hours is 48 1/2 hours. Wow. "Everlasting property" = dohoho. I like these ambitions. This also has fairly better English than the other PDF= a plus. On the other hand, where can I get a CL PowerPoint template? And "sitcom" is officially their word for real-world drama.

Bios! I like these bios. Good character insight, even if 3/4ths of it is their Lyoko powers. And why are you guys saying no spandex? I see plenty of it. Jeremie's is the best. "Endearing nerd" = <3. I don't like how Aelita's doesn't describe her personality. And William's makes me want to headdesk.

Wow! It DID get good ratings? September 8th, you say? 1.4 million? *checks* No, no new episode that day in history. Huh. I agree with Rho. Let CN see these stats!

Why does Spain consider That 70s Show a kids' show? Or Xena? Dang.

Okay, now I see what you mean by no more spandex. But now it looks like they're in bags. Nice bags, though. I'm very very impressed. AWESOME monsters, and pretty screenshots, and...and this thing's actually happening x333 I hope it has a real world/Kadic component, else it'll be about 50% less cool. Because it will have lost half the show. Get it? Get it?

Yay novels! Meh cinemanga! RELEASE MORE DVDs ALREADY.

Game launch this year~ No more mention of the live-action series. I suppose that was canned.

I'd be down with a live action movie if they did it right (i.e filming school scenes at Lakanal and doing good casting..), but no series makes me pleased.

It also looks like they're in talks of making English adaptions of those cine-manga things that were released in France. (we only got one.. and it wasnt terribly good)

That one monster from the MMORPG at the top looks awesome, i want to see it in the show.

Semi-related, I have e-mail addresses for the three main people in charge of CN.I think I'll send this to each of them.

They brought back Teen Titans out of the blue recently, and that's gotten them great ratings - and that one's ended.

God I had to say this to about 6 people now... but anyways...

This stuff in the powerpoint is likely to happen, but it is mostly a marketing... uh, what did my dad call it... its a marketing powerpoint so that other companies can see the potential in their company. An MMORPG would be awesome, but guys, if they aren't making one I have plans personally to make one.

It's safe to say that if they have a $2 million budget for the thing, they're going through with it.

Yes, these stats are to impress investors, but nobody cancels a 2 million dollar project.

$2,000,000 is not a very large budget for a game. You have to remember that in those costs they have to include salaries for programmers ($60K-$100K/yr), and QA ($30K-$50K/yr), server costs, design costs, promotional costs, ect.

Granted, most of these costs could have been reduced by outsourcing the game.

Interesting? Yes.

That's cool! I can't wait for MMORPG! The new outfits are cool... Odd looks really nice in red... However, he and Ulrich don't really look like a cat or samurai...

IIRC CJ Internet is one of South Korea's many MMORPG mills, so yeah, this.
