Code Lyoko: Rebirth (International CL Fan Continuation)

Sorry to keep you guys waiting on this, but as you have noticed, there has been a big lack of news about the project. Let me tell you guys what is going on:

The reason the project did not go more into development was because over the summer, one of the key members of the project, Likki, did not come online. I was told there was a major medical issue. Because of that, we could not continue on. Likki has, as of a couple weeks ago, returned to the internet, and has announced his intentions to resume work on the project. However, it is unknown what will happen with the work towards Rebirth. The overall project could be rebooted with a new team, or Rebirth could be continued. The good news is that for Lyoko, all the characters and locations are modeled, so once a script is created, animation can begin, so don't give up hope yet.

Today, Arti and Likki will announce the future of the project, as well as upload some new concept art of the project, to the team's DeviantArt page at the link below. The project can now be confirmed to be on hiatus. On the page is concept art for the project that has not been released here yet. So the future plans for Rebirth will be announced tomorrow here:

I wouldn't be feeling up to work, too, if I got out of a hospital. I would give myself a few days or 2-3 weeks to recover, depending on how seriously it was. They said it's on hiatus for now. So check once a day for any new posts and let it take its course. Hope you're feeling better, Likki.

I liked the credits sequence the best, oddly enough. The traditionally-animated parts of the show have always been my favorites.

Yeah... guys... this thing has been in the works for over a year. It might take a while. But that's because these people aren't hired to sit around making CL all day.

It's awesome, and half the fun is getting there, so instead of being impatient we should help out.

Even if you can't help out on this project in particular... I have about 14-15 CL projects that are long term and could use being done. If you want something to do regarding CL, I'll be glad to keep you as busy as you want to be. (I am in desperate need of workers. So much so I have mentioned the word "Shanghai" numerous times)

I'd be happy to help with the story progression and writing as well as doing the voice for someone like Jeremy or Odd since they have semi-highpitched, yet still male, voices, as do I. I can give you an example if you'd like.

Ladies and gentleman, the Dolphin Animation Team today is proud to announce that following an extended hiatus, production on "Code Lyoko: Rebirth" has resumed.

The project, known internally as "CL5", has its roots back to as early as spring in 2008. Pre-production on the project continued, and it was officially announced back in the early summer of 2009. Unfortunately, one of the animators of the project (Likki) suffered severe health issues, causing the project to stall for months, until now.

Starting soon, Arti, the project's 3d animator, will begin creating the scenes from the episode itself. After a string of successful animation tests, production on the main project itself will commence within the very near future.

Although the project has been given the name "Code Lyoko: Rebirth: in promotions, it is unknown if this will be the final name of the project. Internally, the project is known as "CL5". When a new name is determined, if a new one is used, it will be announced.

Dolphin Animation has also released some new promotional pictures with today's announcement, which we will close this post with. Thank you for supporting us, and we hope you will stick with us as production gears back up!

I actually had little faith in this *looks at countless other dead "CL Remake" topics* until i saw those clips. It looks like there is some serious work into this, and i'm impressed. With this now being an open continuation, now us programmers have access to pretty good models of characters and maps.

All and all, i'm impressed.
