Gunship Bitmap

Postby Star Way » Sun Oct 02, 2005 5:29 pm

As an icon maker/general Photoshop addict, I'm also a complete font junkie. So I occasionally go to font websites and download ten or so new fonts.

Point being that I found the bitmap version of everyone's favorite font, Gunship. Here: http://www.dafont.com/en/font.php?file=gunship_bitmap

Essentially, this is the blocky version of the font. While the normal one is better for when you need big text, this version is more precise in smaller sizes.

By the way, that site contains a bit of adult content. Just a heads up. :)
Don't bother sending me messages or anything, I'm not in charge of the site anymore.

But I do love dancing.

Yup, that's the normal version I was talking about. It looks great when it's big, but it's blurry when it's small... That's where the bitmap version comes in. Since the pixels are precise, it looks a lot better small. Great for us icon makers.

I can see the differences in Gunship and the one Stern posted. How did you find that font?

Yeah there are differances between gunship and this font.

BTW I used to own Gunship for the Commodore 64/128 which was the program who's box logo inspired the gunship font maker.
