It's really nice to see some merchandise finally coming out for CL. It deserves it!

Anyway...I have strong reason to believe that in some comic retail stores, the Code Lyoko Ani-Manga has already been released. If any of you have any stores nearby that specialize in comics, I recommend a visit. They just might be selling it a good 3 weeks before it's official release date. That's where I just bought mine. ^_^

The Ani-Manga is indeed, a translated version of the Cine-Manga that were selling in France. I'm a little disappointed that they didn't take some care to match the dialogue to that of the show's. Among other inconsistencies, some of the character's names are spelled differently from what they are at CL.com, and Odd says "Laser Dart" instead of our beloved "Laser Arrow!!" Blasphemy! But it is a really nice book all around. ^^

True enough...although the design of his laser arrows are definitely inspired by the shape of arrow heads.

The thing that really troubled me about the strange translations was that, if they're getting the catch phrases wrong, then I'm wondering if the translations were handled by someone even remotely connected with the show. I'm wondering if they didn't just run it through a generic translator. *shakes head* They also changed our much loved "Return to the past, now!" to "Back in time." AUGH!!!

You mean as in "Now, Odd, are you ready to go back in time?" (from "Seeing Is Believing")? "Return to the past, now!" didn't come in until the third episode.

Anyway, the Ani-Manga features the episodes "TeddyGozilla" and "Plagued". I didn't have any gripes about "TeddyGozilla" because Ulrich says "Ready for a trip into the past, Yumi?" in that one. But I know in "Plagued" Jeremie says "Return to the past, now!" and they changed it to "Back in time!" So that's why I was a little disappointed that they didn't try to keep continuity with the show's actual dialogue.

^^; Here we go...my apologies for the double-post but I was exploring some of CL.com's new features, and I've found the title for the second US Code Lyoko DVD!

It's "Code Lyoko: Volume 2; Movies, Music, and Mayhem".

Three guesses as to what episodes are on that DVD.

Um, well, I don't think there's just three episodes on it. It'll probably have 5 or so like volume 1. I just asked for three guesses of possible episodes that could be on it. Mine are: End of Take, Killer Music, and Code: Earth ( "Break Break Break Dance!!!" )

We figured that that was a fan-made fake. I believe some of the figures pieces were taken from DragonBallZ figures for one. AnteFilms would never release something like that, to be sure.

Why do I feel the urge to buy one of everything on that little shopping list.

Is any of this stuff going to be in stores, I really don't like on-line stores

I so want that backpack, sport cup, and the notebook that I would never use.

The skateboard I'm sure is a little kid toy so I don't want it. But i do want the magna.

It's so cool that the show is getting so much press. The last show I was a fan of didn't have ant stuff....shame

the book is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! (yes i already read the english version) the only complaint is that they try too hard. like for the music in teddyg they put "boom bada bada boom boom bada". its so corny. and the book features TeddyG and Plagued.

The "boom bada bada boom" was in the French version too...I suppose it's rather hard to put music into a comic. ^^; I'd love to see what they'd do with an episode like "Killer Music".

Well, I was just lucky. I have an honest to goodness comic book store near me that often gets things before they've been officially released. That's how I got mine. If you've got a store that specializes in comics near you, check there. Also, try checking Borders or some other commercial bookstore. Sometimes they release things early too. Good luck!

Wow... code Lyoko has a lot of merchandise! That's so cool. x3 We've already got the manga book and the DVD preordered for my brothers brithday (Oct. 2!) xD You lucky people who go the book early... I checked my Borders every time I went just to see if it was there (it wasn't). Ah well, heads will roll, and I can wait (although... Lazer Dart?).

I have a grand totaly of six dollars right now. Must... save up... money...

Heh. I wonder when they'll release the 'dress-up/costumes'... that will be awesome (We can only hope...)

And the DVD is officially out!

The episodes are the five mentioned before, and there's a bunch of interesting extras: A sneak peek at the Lyoko vehicles and some scenes from season 2; a holomap of Lyoko's 4 regions and a few of their towers; character bios (with cool videos!); a music video for the theme song in both French and English; and in the DVD case is a book with Storyboard art for season 2!!!! I especially loved the last extra! A French language track is sadly not included as an option, but everything else is really cool!

Also included with the DVD were the little adverts for future DVDs including Volume 2. There was also information regarding the release dates for the action figures and toys: Fall 2006!!??? AAAUUUGH!!!
