LOL! "Yumi to the Rescue" day! ^_^ I'll have to say that's an improvement for her after coming out of "Pick On Yumi Week" in one piece. Maybe they really were going to make her the main character in GK...

^^ She rescues Ulrich three times...depending on whether one wants to count the "tackles" as two saves each or one altogether. Nothing beats that "twitch" scene though directly after. *giggles* Poor Ulrich. First they pick on his "goodfriend" and now they pick on him.

I agree and disagree. They still get the episodes first, but they get them in a continual stream. It seems we might get a weeks worth of episodes, and then wait while the next five are released in France and the another weeks worth of episodes or something like that. The French still will have seen any episodes we're seeing long before we even get them. Their recording is done, I'm pretty sure, but ours isn't yet.

They get them once a week, continually, where as we'll get a week of episodes, then a lull, then another week of episodes, then another lull...which, if they do that, could get exceedingly annoying...particularly if they leave us with a really cruel cliffhanger at some point. ^^

There's something about children and cartoons: the more they see, the more they want.

It would be awesome if we all get to see 1 episode per week. Just like how people wait for real-life shows (those with flesh and bone characthers). Leaving the suspense in a show seems awesome. Too bad that cartoons don't work that way. For every episode, it's saving the day and that's it, with exception of those sort of episodes that are divided in two or more parts.

Nono, I agree. I said I liked that in France they get a continual flow of episodes. They won't have to wait weeks in between every package of episodes, wondering when they're going to start airing new ones again, like the US might have to. I'm not complaining though...I just want season 2, period!

Heh... my situation is much more worse than yours. I don't even have a f**king clue when Season 2 airs on Jetix LatinAmerica. And I don't have CN USA. And even if I could have it, I would only watch it on Wednesydays or Thursdays.

I might be wrong, but I think most VCRs have a feature by which the viewer can be watching one show while the VCR is taping another. Unless, of course, your roommate is taping the soaps...

Another adult on LF... I feel the same way as you. I like CL, but I hide my liking for it from almost everybody I know in real life, pointing out the same reasons you do. I'm 20, btw.

Besides, if you program it, how will she know what you're taping? She won't even notice it's taping; she'll be too busy talking to the TV screen saying "Oh, Evan!" or some crap like that... (O.K., that was an unfair generalization of soap opera fans... or was it?)

I don't know how her VCR works or even if it can record. With my luck it doesn't...

Note down the make and model of the VCR and check the customer service section of the manufacturer's website. Many manufacturers have their product manuals online. And as to whether it works or not, test it on any arbitrary show.

Right; that I can't help with... ^^; ...except to say that you canuse one tape if you don't mind taping over the episodes you've seen already.

26 episodes (= Season 1) fit on three tapes on SLP (super long play) with hours to spare...

You shouldn't be embarrassed by the fact that you watch a cartoon. Cartoons were originally created as adult entertainment and shown before movies. I don't think the first animators ever imagined that it would become a "kid genre". The Bugs Bunny and Tom and Jerry cartoons were originally intended to be adult pre-movie entertainment, not "kiddie stuff". There's no shame in watching cartoons as an adult. That was the original intention for them way back when the first cartoons came to be. ^_^

Anyway...as far as buying tapes goes...try and locate a local 99 cent or $1 store. They should have them for low prices there.

Getting to the store is definitally a problem.. I tried to find a walmart yesterday and it took me an hour to find one.. I was so lost.. I ended up in a different town, then had to follow a girl from my college back to the campus. I get lost easily... and the university book store would have them but they overprice them quite a bit I would guess. I suppose until I find some that I can watch on my computer that I'll just have to go without!
