Upon re-reading that interview...I'm getting the vibe that William's more returning as Yumi's suitor...not so much that he's joining the team (as honestly I can't see anyone, even Jeremie allowing him too due to "Attack of the Zombies"). Since Ulrich and Yumi's relationship is a main focus in several episodes, it would make sense that as the romantic rival, William would regain his status as a secondary character/antagonist. ^^ Then again, who's to say for sure? :)

Perhaps Yumi will mysteriously get another annoying little brother. Maybe even a sister! And a reason where Hiroki came from!

Oooh, speaking of siblings maybe we'll get to see if any of the others have siblings! Like Odd... he should have like 8 sisters or something, with him being right in the middle xD;; Now that would be interesting...

YAYNESS, my 2000th post on Lyokofreak! PARTYTIME!!
Anyways, in honor of my 2000th post, I hereby present a theory on the prequel of Code: Lyoko.

It was another usual Sunday at Kadic Academy. Jeremie, Ulrich, and Odd were in the 7th grade, and Yumi in the 8th. But, unlike most days, there wasn't really anything to do this time! Jeremie's hypothesis on the idea of "capturing" a certain moment in time and then returning to it at will had been disproved by Mrs. Hertz yesterday in Science, and the entire class (including Odd and Ulrich) burst out in laughter. There was no more homework, for some strange reason, the pool was closed for rennovations, and both Jeremie's laptop and computer had been fried by a mysterious virus (not Xana, don't worry). The gang figured that they may as well take a hike and escape the dullness of the school.
About half an hour later, they had forgotten which way they went, but Odd discovered something interesting as he peered through the hole in a sewer drain lid. He saw three skateboards and a scooter, awkwardly enough, with nobody using them.
He opened the manhole and climbed down.
"Odd, what are you doing?! We're trying to figure out which way we came from, in case you haven't been paying attention to the last 45 seconds." Jeremie quarreled.
"Hey guys... come check this out! Somebody left their vehicles to go for a swim in the sewers!"
The rest of the gang followed Odd into the sewers. "It looks like they were coming from that direction," Odd pointed in one direction, "so let's continue the expedition the other way!"
"Well, if it kills time, I guess it's worth a shot." Ulrich mumbled.
And off they went; Jeremie took the scooter, while Yumi, Ulrich, and Odd used the skateboards. Soon they hit a dead end. They decided to take the nearest exit. Surprisingly, they ended up at the entrance to a building they'd never noticed before: an abandoned factory. "Wow" was all Yumi could say. "Shall we continue?" She said.
They found themselves trying to operate an elevator- Jeremie was occupied with the task of figuring out the access code.
"I've got it!" He exclaimed. Almost the very instant he said it, the doors began to close, and their descent towards the lowest room started. Once they arrived, they all stared in amazement at the giant machine.
"What do you think it is, Einstein?" Odd said. "A computer from a couple dozen generations ago?"
"More like a couple years ago!" Jeremie exclaimed. "This is phenomenal! I wonder what its purpose is."
"Only one way to find out. Yumi, would you do the honors?" Ulrich said.
"Umm... I'm not so sure this is a good idea. This looks sort of dangerous." Yumi responded.
"Well, I don't know about you, but danger is my middle name!" Odd said excitedly. He immediately through the switch, and the giant supercomputer booted up. It was an awesome sight, but it started making strange noises, and the gang immediately got back into the elevator.
"What's the code, what's the code?!?" Jeremie frantically pushed buttons, forgetting what the combination was. "Wait... I've got it!"
The elevator went up, but not very far. They ended up in a new room; this time an interface and a weird glowing sphere were seen. Jeremie was so awestruck that he began to walk up to the computer and tried to understand how it worked. He noticed one screen to the side that read "Lyoko Interface". He clicked on it and saw a three-dimensional map of some sort of virtual world; there was a pillar towards the right. He saw a small icon inside of it. He clicked on it, but didn't expect anything at all like what happened next.
"Hello? Who's there" a voice said. Soon the face appeared. A small, unrealistic-looking girl was standing there; behind her was a matrix-like code. Jeremie was amazed. The others were watching from behind. "Who- are you?"
"My name is Aelita."
Suddenly Jeremie heard a noise from behind- the elevator was being operated by somebody else!
"There! I told you I'd figure out the code sooner or later!" It was Mr. Delmas, the school principal. Along with him was Jim, the Physical Education teacher. "You're in big trouble, you little brats!"
The gang had no time to wonder about how they got there; Jeremie was frantically trying to figure out some way to escape the situation. He saw another window, below the Lyoko Interface. It was a simple four-letter combination: RTTP. He clicked on it and saw the faces of Yumi, Ulrich, Odd, and himself. How the computer knew them was a mystery. Then another picture appeared- a globe. A timer above it hit 0, and a white sphere came from the weird orb that was Lyoko. It engulfed the entire world.
The gang awoke back on the same dull Sunday. They all said in perfect unison, "I just had the weirdest dream!" and realized that it was no dream.

~The End. *claps* Thank you, thank you!

By the way, if this needs to be linked to some fanfiction place, that's fine with me.
thank you all for the good memories <3

I know, seriously!! He's a freaking VIRUS. Viruses use COMPUTERS. He was only able to influence the real world through the supercalculator and ZPE. How the **** is he supposed to do anything after he escaped?

He (or she, we have been given no clues to its gender) is obviously NOT a virus. Can a Virus make concious decisions as to what to destroy? Can a virus have independent thought? He's not a virus. He's something new.

Also, just because he could do things in one form does not neccessarily mean that he will do so in the next. He could have some totally new and different way of attacking that none of us have seen yet. The same goes for end-of-game video game bosses. Isn't it true that almost every one has some secondary form that totally kicks ***? I'm guessing that XANA's previous attacks were just a warm-up compared to what we're about to see now.

xD;; That was back when I was like, stupid. XANA is so not a virus. He's an Artificial Intelligence designed to combat a military program gone rogue. And I'm pretty sure XANA's a "he." (Considering the gang always refers to XANA as "he" and his "voice" was masculine and stuff...)

So? It could be just altering its voice. Or maybe it doesn't have a gender, which would make sense if it was a computer program not designed to interact with humans.

You're overthinking it. XANA's a boy (in as much as AI's can have gender).

I always pictured Jeremie as having a bunch of sisters. Usually, in my head universe, he has an older sister and two younger twin sisters. He could have gotten his anger issues from the older sister, and the two younger are there for the sake of being cute. But, you're right. It would complement his insanity very nicely.

I think at some point we should meet all their families. Here's what I think:

Ulrich: Very uptight and orderly, yet yell when Ulrich toes the line.
Jeremie: Very loud and embarassing, talk too much, maybe a smidgen immature.
Odd: Live on some ungodly area of the planet. (Like New Zealand) One parent is a lot like Odd, and the other could be very strict, maybe in the army. (General Matthew Della Robbia anyone?)

---

But, I digress.

I think that, most likely, XANA has a male identity. Or, s/he could surprise everyone with a female real-world form.

And I like Jeremiefied's theory. More or less, that'll happen.

I have some details to fill in. At least one of the gang should be a new kid. And their personalities should be a bit different. The finding of Lyoko could be a new awakening for them.

This is what my head universe tells me:

Jeremie: Very shy, stutters when he talks, terrified of a lot.
Ulrich: Two words. Juvenile delinquent.
Odd: Even more insane and crazy than he is on the current show.
Yumi: Just moved out of Japan, doesn't know a lick of English/French.
Aelita: Eight years in the computer have wiped away all her sanity. Feral, senile, and other fancy words. Or, the loss could affect her in another way, making her a bit more like Chi from Chobits, in the earlier books. Or...a zillion other possibilities.

Note that my head universe is often beaten mercilessly by fact.

And then, there has to be the big XANA KABOOM that gets all the events in place. There has to be confusion about fighting. And, of course, roots of the JxA and UxY relationships.

And now my fingers are tired...

If you have read the last LTT essay, it states that Aelita initiated a main power inturruption, thus shutting down the computer, so Aelita shouldn't have been able to think at all.........at least, I think

Hmmm... here's what I think happened in the beginning:

Jeremie was the antisocial nerd, who had no friends, and if anyone attempted to talk to him, he'd snap at them. :O Ummm... Ulrich was the really really hawt guy, and since he played soccer and is like a jock, he was really popular and stuff. Yumi was the girl that arrived just the year before from Japan, but she didn't talk much because her language skillz weren't that great. Then the year in which the story starts, Odd is the new kid (like in Garage Kids, muahaha), and his family like moves a lot and so he's sick of changing schools all the time... So his parents enrolled him in Kadic and said that if he likes it there he can stay, but if he wants to he can come with them when they move again after the first term so yeah.

And Odd comes all new-like and nervous like "D: Oh nuuuu" and stuff. He ends up being the roommate of Ulrich and Ulrich is all like "...new kid." and yeah. But since Ulrich is nice on the inside, he decides to befriend Odd and all like "'Kay, I'll help you adjust" and Odd's all like "YAY! 8D" and so in like science class one day, Ulrich is pointing out who everyone is and stuff and Odd's all like I see.

So like one day, the mischief-maker in Odd comes out all like "LET'S GO OFF CAMPUS!!! 8D" and Ulrich, since he's like popular, doesn't wanna ruin his rep by getting in trouble so he's like "Dude, no, that's not cool, we'll get in trouble." And Odd's all like "Well we're never gonna get in trouble if we sneak out, right? SO LET'S GO 8D" And Ulrich's like "...fine. I'll show you around town." and stuff. So they sneak off campus and start running around.

(un)Fortunately for them, Yumi was on her way home from the store that same day and she had to pass by the factory place. So as she was passing by, she hears loud voices coming from the building. And she's all like "what" and she sees the two eighth graders like going inside. Yumi, being from Japan and a strict rule-follower, gets all worried like "oh no if someone catches them they're gonna get in big trouble!! D:" So she follows after them and as she reaches them they're going into the elevator. She enters with them and as they go down she's all like "Omg you guys have to go back to school or else Mr. Delmas will pwn your soul and you'll get burned or something" and Odd's like "Aw come on what are you talking about," and Ulrich's like "yeah she's right." Then as they reach the lab level, it makes a rather large jerking motion because it hasn't been used in a long time, so as the keypad cover opens, Odd falls on top of it because of the jerking. So of course he hits random numbers then magically the elevator door opens and they're like "omg what is that". So after some inspection of it and lots of pestering to go back to school by Yumi, they decide to go back and Odd really wants to know what it is. Ulrich's like "Just forget about it already!" and Odd's like 'NOOOO' So they decide to go ask someone about it. First they debate on a teacher, but then they decide that if they tell a teacher they'd get in trouble, then they decide on one of the smart kids. First they think of Herb but then Ulrich's like "Well if we tell Herb, he'd tell Sissi and then Sissi'd be all over me and I want her off my back D:" or something so they talk to Jeremie. Jeremie is reluctant at first but then he eventually goes with the other three.

So Jeremie looks at the console and stuff and he's like "where else does the elevator go?" So they go down all the way and lo and behold, there's the supercompy! So they see a switch and they're like "LET'S TURN IT ON!! 8D" And then it gets all shiny and stuff. So they go back up to the console and Jeremie inspects it and stuff and he's all like "OMGOMGOMG AMAZING PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY OMGOMGOMGOMG" and like. Stuff. Then eventually, somehow, the other three wind up on Lyoko and there's like this pink-haired chick who they think is an AI who calls herself "Aelita" and she's like "HALO THAR 8D" and yeah. She tells them stuff and about XANA and how he's a meanie. Then XANA like attacks several days later all like "MUAHAHA" so then they think "OMG IS IT THAT XANA THING AELITA WAS TALKING ABOUT?!" so they contact her and stuff and she's like "ACCOMPANY ME OT THE TOWER 8D" and they're like okay. So yeah.

Then after the first XANA attack is taken care of, Jeremie adds lots of the supercompy's features to his lappy and the one in his room.

And that's what I think.

I got some stuff to say about the prequel.

When I read the CL Article in French from Wikipedia, it listed the Prequel divided in two episodes with titles (but given the way it's been talked about for the US, it might be seen entirely). Yes, you heard me, two episodes. And that's the way Season 3 ends (13 normal episodes + 2 episodes featuring the prequel). But it might be subject top changes.

IIRC, the first episode's about Jeremie meeting Aelita and the second's related to XANA. And if someone said this before, sorry then. I was jsut trying to be useful.

rofl, that was better than mine! Yours is, like... funny... and stuff... and mine was... realistic... but yours was entertaing, so yeah, yours pwns mine. xD;;

And I think that itt'd be better to keep the prequel at the end- it builds up suspense!

Another piece of discussion that I've been wondering about- at the end of S1, Aelita was materialized. At the end of S2, Xana escapes and Franz Hopper's existence verified. What's gonna happen in S3?

Maybe they'll find what I have theorized about since I saw the epsodes with the Krabes and the episode "False Start" (with Kankrelots in the real world): the theorized "XANA matierialization code." I think that there's a Code that would allow one to be brought to earth, through the scanners, with all of one's Lyoko powers and Lyoko form, like how XANA did that with his monsters.

If so, that would be SO cool...

My mind made a weird. And here it is.

It's a guess about project Carthage and I'm guessing it goes here... xDD;

Anyway. It seemed as if Franz joined the Project on his own free will, or he was hired and it had good pay. Or else he would not have stayed with the Project for 10+ years. He would have quit or turned on it earlier if he didn't like it; not wait 20 years to blow it up. So why would he turn on Carthage if a) he liked it, b) it had good pay, or c) the government/military would DEFINITELY hunt down his soul if he did anyway?

Shhh. Don't answer that. It's a rhetorical question.

So. I'm guessing Franz was happy about the Project for whatever reason. He seemed fine enough during Aelita's flashbacks and stuff. And everything was hunky dory until... Aelita's mom disappeared.

I have a slight feeling that her disappearance may have had something to do with Carthage. Franz must've freaked out, gone mad or something, and in an effort to protect his only family left, Aelita, he ran for it and moved to the Hermitage with her. There, he probably took up a false name (which may be Franz Hopper as we know him) and started teaching at Kadic, all while he was developing something to destroy Carthage in revenge for his wife.

...That's my guess. xDD;

And sorry if someone already said this! :x You may shoot me now.

It could be that Lyoko was a means of destroying Carthage at first, but soon it evolved and became the basis for... something else. I don't know what, or why, but even in Aeilita's flashbacks, the Supercomputer, Lab, and Scanner rooms always look... incomplete, somehow. Perhaps we'll find another supercomputer in the next season? Or something far stranger? All I know is that the technology of creating things from nothing is an awesome advantage that any country and/or person would kill to get.
