Should CL get a new American home?

Postby Rho » Sun Oct 25, 2009 3:43 pm

Cartoon Network sure isn't caring about it.

They just passed the PERFECT chance to air Attack of the Zombies.

And CN still has the rights.

So, should CN just give up the rights and have another channel get it? If so, who?

I say yes, and I say Nickelodeon should get it - They'll probably treat it with respect. And seeing how well it did on CN, it could do even better on Nick, especially if they were to theoretically recreate SNICK and have it alongside shows such as The Troop and iCarly.

Avatar did well, and that was an action show (but to be fair, that was a Nicktoon)

The only way I wouldn't want them to have it would be if they kept it on regular Nick for a couple weeks then sent it off to Nicktoons on death row (Like they'll inevitably do with Fanboy and Chum Chum)

As long as it's treated with respect, I don't care.

But... er... what was I going to say...

Oh yeah... I'm not the most trusting of Nick for their tendency to... be sort of... childish.

But then again, CN is getting babyish.

As long as Nick has Dan Schneider producing some shows, there isn't too much "childish" stuff.

True... but then again... nobody would be producing it... (unless they did make a fifth season, in which case I fully support MoonScoop making it in France, as always)

Regardless, they'd be inevitably airing the first four seasons first, and they'd most likely leave it as is. And when they do produce the next season, I doubt anyone would end up involved besides Moonscoop, France 3, and Canal J.

Well... yes... but nobody would be producing anything.... so it wouldn't really matter how the producers produce things there.

My only thing is I hope they wouldn't exclude any episodes for content, etc. (if Nick regards Yumi tackling Ulrich and the two blushing as something that needs to be edited out, they're not the right network to air it.)

And hopefully... very hopefully, if they ever were to do more... only the originals would work on it... and they wouldn't ruin it in an attempt to make more money.

Nick allows female breast jokes and references to beastiality in iCarly. I don't think there will be any content issues.

Good point... but if they ever aired that sort of content on CL I'd probably end up slapping the nearest person out of frustration.

Has all of the implied female nudity (too many times to count), crossdressing (Odd in Yumi's body scratching at her bra-stap, and of course Yumi's reaction of "don't you DARE take that off!") and 'tentacle' issues (Scyphazoa, 'naughty' tree-roots) in CL completely failed to pass you by at this point? :D Come-on guys, this is France we're talking about ;)

Yes but they do that in a semi-classy way... in a way only France can do... and they don't bring it up 20 times an episode!

As far as I've seen, the comedy on iCarly is crude. Funny, but crude.

Does CL need humor? Of course. Should it turn into a comedy based show... no thanks. I like the fact that it can be both serious and funny.

More humor, yes.. But no "toilet humor" at all.

Yeah... basically... well... no duh... some crude humor IS definately going to show up at a school.

But, for the sake of my ears, MoonScoop, please keep most of your humor tasteful.

Apparently, the word "damn" is used frequently in the French version.

Stop censoring the English dub, Moonscoop. D:
