Dark Endings: What If You Were In Control of the Epilogue?

After taking a quick look at a certain moderate's signature, I suddenly got smacked with an idea—feeling minor potential I ran to my playlist and skipped through songs I normally use when writing horror or anything of a morbid/darker genre.

I haven't written anything on the idea yet, but the following things inspired it—

I did sort of start writing something like this once a while back, but it wasn't to the extent that you imagined. xD; But it was something along the lines of the supercomputer gets moved to storage so technically, no one will hopefully find it and mess with it. But of course, a bunch of troublemaking kids turn it on and... you know the rest.

And I thought I thought up dark stuff for the show :O

Oh! I sort of had an idea like that myself, I think everyone's experimented with that one… My idea was the factory had gotten torn down and the first bit of it took place way into the future. Some idiot kids decide to fool around in the debris of the factory, end up falling through a pretty weird hole, and find the remains of the super computer and scanners. They stupidly mess around with it, manage to turn it on, and instantly think that Lyoko is some sort of incredible game.

Blah, blah, blah…

They play around, mid-way through a game everything goes wonky. XANA (who's incredibly weak and whatnot) takes over the computer and sends all of the kids in Lyoko (and the kid that was mointoring things on the super computer) to the past with a massive RTP. They're sent to around the time the Lyoko gang found out about Lyoko and Aelita and were just getting started and… it's chaotic.

Everyone is confused, XANA is freely messing with everyone for the sake of a mini scare, and, that's as far as I got.

I made it into an RP on Gaiaonline, but it died shortly after. D ;

We had so many things planned, though! We were considering the kids from the future not getting along with the original Lyoko gang and simply wanting to get home rather than help, we also considered Project C having some sort of big role in the future and… there were a few other things. XANA was possibly going to latch himself onto viruses from the future, inform his past!self about the what, why, and how of his death, and maybe get into a fight with his past!self as well… assuming they'd get into a power struggle or whatever (“I'm stronger!â€

The idea I had while reading this was about the Green Phoenix Organization that made a small appearance in the series and is turning out to be the main villain in the upcoming book series. It would start with a mission debriefing revealing XANA was their doing. True that Franz Hopper created it, but one of their hackers altered it's programming to attack his pet project to sabotage Carthage. During XANA's bid to reign over all, it didn't know that it was used to spy on Lyoko.

After five years of inactivity, they declared XANA destroyed and move with their next plan. Executing Anita Hopper, they send their best agent to track down the Lyoko Warriors. His name is Agent A. He steps into the light and is told the mission to ascertain any and all information on Franz Hopper and the whereabouts of his only living descendant, Aelita.

The Director of the organization expresses his confidence that his son can accomplish this. The long pink-haired boy smiled, "Yes, Father, I will not fail you."

The rest of the episode catches up with everyone. Odd is an artist in Holland engaged to a beautiful woman, Sissi, who's less of a witch. Ulrich and Yumi are working hard in France still as they start their life as newlyweds. Jeremy and Aelita are currently hiding somewhere in Europe to avoid detection. However, their new enemy appears on Ulrich and Yumi's porch with a sincere smile and an evil purpose.

The rector scale of amazing just throws that off the charts—can anyone scream incredible?

God, if the series were to end like that, in a way that just left everything on a huge cliffhanger, I'd feel so incredibly… happy. Frustrated for more, but happy as heck! Do you know how incredibly creepy it would be if the viewers were left with simply zooming into that creepy smile then fading into black? Maybe the last sound before the credits could be a few screams, some clattered and maybe afterwards some sirens.

… I've been forced to sit through too much Law and Order. D ;

That would be interesting to write, and I can see someone from the group coming across a headline on the paper one day, “Newlyweds mysteriously murdered in French household!â€

An epilogue. Um.

Would it be creepy to say that I've been spending the last two years coming up with one, <s>and that you can find the first chapter of it by clicking my sig</s> anyway.

It's more like a full Season 5 and not really an epilogue. But it'd do what I really wanted the end of CL to do- tie up all the loose ends, solve the mysteries, and, for some reason, resolve everything with an epic final fight. The catalyst would basically be Project Carthage discovering the Replika damage and the existence of the Supercomputer, and wanting to take it back for themselves. For, uh, some nefarious means of course.

I did want the ending to be happy. The ending, that is...

My ending would probably be similar to the canon one, but the flashbacks would be spread out over all four seasons instead of being focused mostly on Season 4. Also there would be more romance. Approximately 600% more, to be exact.

Ah, Lyoko Freaks and their love for romance.

That show could've used some more romantic zest, though, if only little hints and crap…

Then again, I didn't like many of the canon pairings, so I was happy where with it left the characters, sort of.

And, Stoney-Creeky-Sensastion-Amazing? You're officially one of my favorite authors, I read through your stuff the other day and fell in love.
