I decided to try actually making it. It's rather clusmy as far as gameplay goes, but looks sorta like what Delmas was playing.

Hold the mouse to compress the spring, release to let go. When the head lands, click to reset.

It works in Opera and Firefox. Internet Explorer doesn't support SVG, so... yeah.
Safari had some graphics glitches when I tested it, but your results may vary.

What, no Pac Man music? :P But I like it, it's almost addicting in a way. And it does look almost identical to the version Delmas played. Don't I feel special, as an Opera user I'm almost exclusive. I belong to the Firefox-and-Opera-Only-Penguin-Recapitator-Club.

SVG 1.2 has audio support, but I don't think anybody's implemented it.

Ah well, you can hum your own beeps. :D

It's a pity there aren't any sounds in the game , but as a game that is almost identical to the one Delmas played it looks awesome :). I'd suggest a point system in the future.

This is great! Loads of fun! I wish I could really program in flash, I've wanted to make a CL fighter for quite some time.

Hehe. Thats surprisingly addictive. And the moral pride, walking away from your computer with the thought you've made a penguins life a lot better is nice too.
Hmmm. A sig from the dark side this is.

:*D Of course, the karma I gained for helping penguinkind will probably get all burned up once my current project's done. Sorry, Kankrelat. You really are my favorite monster...

I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.2, and the music in the second version isn't playing.
Could you troubleshoot it?
Still, it's really cool. I downloaded the file onto my computer.
I really gotta fix up this theme

Hmm... can you see the player? or is the bottom blank?

Quicktime's player is showing up fine on my Windows box...

Alternatively, just download a Pac-Man MIDI and play that in the background. ;)

So!

For Computer Graphics class we had to make a 2D game program using OpenGL...

So, if anybody wants to try a Windows binary, here's a rough version. The SVG version is still higher quality, but I'm hoping I can eventually clean up this code, add double-buffering, use 3D models, etc...
